Thanks for the info. I tried getting some of this via the discord but information goes by so fast it was hard to really keep up. At least now I know how to get the Pup and the Disco ball also, those were two I really wanted to get soon. A lot of what you went over for the basic ones, or unexpectedly easy to get ones (hopper) took some trial and error before I ended up with similar setups as yours to make the ones I do have happy. Also, i noticed you kind of hit on this later in the video but didn't seem to notice it when going over the eel. Candles emit heat, and that might be why the eel is unhappy as it has a heat source near it in the form of the candle.

there is still allot of bugs they can disappear but the bug that made them totally disappear has been fixed so at least if they break out you should be able to grab them again from your personal or hive terminal vault. as for the wish machine it was never found by a single person this entire beta so we think it may have been the wish machine... i like to think its still out there somewhere though lol

Amazing Guide and now I have a reason to use my 2nd eel! Question: is there a reason to use a power switch for deviant cage or can you just turn the facility off at the bottom left when in its menu?

Good question at the time of making my first video there was a bug where even when turning the vessel off manually it still used up your power but it’s possible they fixed that in a patch and I just didn’t notice

I cannot seem to keep my Eels happy. I have met all of their needs and they are still yellow face neutral. They sill sometimes be happy then for no reason they shift to neutral and their securement starts going down. its very frustrating. I don't know what's going wrong. Any insight on this would be helpful.

I stopped putting deviants down because I had an issue happen twice where i logged out and came back later to find not only was the containment unit gone but so was the deviant and they were not in my vault. I had to go recapture the frog and the blob. I'm also having an issue where I have captured 5 deviants but the game isn't unlocking the cradle slot for capturing 4 deviants. I wonder if it means specifically the 4 deviants from the bosses and world ones don't count?

1.) the bug with deviants not going back to your vault was fixed like two patches ago they all go back to the vaults as intended now. 2.) the cradle slots don’t unlock from grabbing the deviants they unlock after “containing” deviants. U have to put them in a container. As soon as u put all the different ones in a container those rows will unlock. U don’t even have to secure them literally just put them in a powered up container and it will count

Also @36:10 you talk about pulling it out and putting it back in, have a look at the logs when you get the chance. Several of my deviant seem to slowly decrease in mood over time. Every time they produce a tick of deviant power their moods gets permanently worse for some reason. Every 4m 30 sec it says it's mood gets worse, even in ideal conditions.

That’s interesting because 4:30 seconds is the exact timer that deviant power generates so maybe the bug is somehow tied to the deviant power cooldown timer… interesting

@@Glitchiz Oh, I can absolutely confirm that's the case. I've seen it live several times where it produces deviant power and then securement drops by 1-2%, after which it goes back up again. However this also seems to affect their mood in a more semi-permanent way, and as it negatively impacts their maximum allowed mood. So over time the happy face will be gone so you no longer regenerate securement and it becomes the 'Meh' face. You'll drop securement every tick, till eventually even getting the red face at which point that'll eating away at the securement level till eventually your deviant leaves, which is what I think is happening to a lot of people with the eel.

@@Glitchiz Nice, hopefully we can get it fixed. ironically, as I was testing this repeatedly with the eel and the dreamcatcher, the eel now somehow has stayed happy for a prolonged period of time, still takes a hit to mood/securement but it regenerates like my butterflies, so I've got no clue as I didn't change anything about it's habitat

the hungry hopper information is not fully correct, its spawn correlates to jumping themed puzzles such as the lilys and car piles, not water ponds

I lost my electric eel and disco ball securement facilities while beeing offline. Mats got stored but deviants were gone. Happened on 2 different days and both were at 100% and hooked to powergrid as i went offline. Do you know why or how that happens?

bad luck maybe. I know they did "server maintenance" on the 4th which then broke alot of things and then did more last night. So if it was during that time it might of been the cause. I think they tweaked a few things regarding the base and deviants... I could totally be wrong tho lol

I have learned this since as my hive upgraded to the next level. Now im spamming building pieces for hive EXP to hit my daily hive exp max to level faster lol. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to keep the Eels happy though. I am doing everything they want and they are happy a few hours then it just switches and they are yellow faced and nothing helps. All i can do is take them out and start over and they instantly become happy again for a few more hours. its very frustrating. @@Glitchiz

yeah some of the tooltips are being updated allot of the partnered creators have already put in bug reports to fix the layout of certain things so hopefully they fix it. i know some of the lettering and stuff is like overlapping and rly annoying right now but that should hopefully all get fixed at some point

@@Glitchiz nah, my fridge and irrigation system are two room dividers even on different floors. I think it's due to environment, my own Base at the beach. I tested on our Hive Base which is in forest at the south borders of Iron River region, it has no problem with a cornflower planter beside it.

atm doesn't exist there is speculation that the wish o matic is actually the wish machine, because its called the wish o matic during the quest to get it... at this point in time nobody has found a "wish-o-matic" deviation. i have thought about this quite a bit a still believe its obtainable we just don't know how yet :/.

If the deviant gets angry while ur away and loses all securement it will break out. That being said if it breaks out it should automatically go to your hive or personal terminal vault

Apologies, I should have clarified - They have all been 100% happy and my turrets are online even when I'm away.. but the past 2 updates I have logged back to see that the containers for the eels are missing and nothing in my vault or inventory as if the container / deviant were broken down. 1.) i greatly appreciate the support! and 2.) that's strange 2 patches ago there was a major bug that caused deviants to totally disappear when they broke out. but that was supposed to be fixed by now. i recently had my jellyfish break out while i was away and it went right back to my terminal. is it possible a deviant glitched through a wall and attacked it possibly??? i know they can be a bit buggy sometimes. besides that idk why it would totally disappear anymore :/@@theJohnnyJshow

Your personal base and hive base are two separate bases. For convenience I put my personal base inside our hive one but u can build them apart and take advantage of the extra spawn location

I cannot keep this eel happy, I have everything as you do, pulling my hair out...he was happy and now not, haven't changed a thing, went to bed woke up, and he's unhappy at 3% now so I turned it off. Blue light, plush toy, parts/fish/mechanical sound/indoors...even a light/heat source...so I don't know what else.

Is there a bug on power boost? Upgraded to the advanced solar panels, the electric eel is above 50% but not getting the extra 5w on both my 30w solar panels. It was working on on the standard 20w solar panels boosting them to 25w before the upgrade.

Any new generators made won’t have the previously attained eel buff. It’s a bug. Just withdraw the eel from its container and put it right back in to reset it. It will start back at 25% but once it passes 50 again it will reset that buff and u should see the new panels u built getting the power

Quick correction on the hungry hopper: I don't think it spawns on bodies of water, it spawns on 'Jumping puzzles'. Like the lily pad jumping puzzle, or the car stack jumping puzzle. I found mine at the lily's but also one on a car stack pile with no water around it :D

This might mean it became unhappy enough to have escaped containment. It is important to make sure you are getting its containment up by making it happy as quickly as possible. There used to be wording about this, but seems during some of the updates the wording was either removed or only comes up the initial time you learn about deviant containment. You can tell if it is going to be unhappy as each deviant has a state where it is actively attacking the containment glass. I don't have eel yet so I don't know what its unhappy escape state looks like, but for context the Butterfly will hit against the side of the glass as it flies around when unhappy. The Time Ticker will have a very loud heart thumping sound when it is becoming unhappy. The gel will have amore erratic shape to it when unhappy.

yeah some of the deviants can just be finicky as well sometimes they aren't fully fleshed out in this beta.. that being said any deviants that break out should automatically go back to you personal or hive territory terminal vault. so you shouldn't have to worry about collecting them again just go to your vault take them back out and try again ;)

Not really satisfied with the jellyfish guide tbh lol. But i'd have to agree that it must be bugged. if you put seawater in the fridge, it will consume the seawater too and make it happier slightly, but as i said in my other post it always goes back to yellow.

Yeah it’s most likely a bug. The setup has everything that’s recommended in the parameters so it should be fine in theory. There’s no reason it should go completely mad get taken out put right back in and instantly happy again… just doesn’t make sense it’s prob just a bug in the beta

@@Glitchiz yeah put it by the ocean and even had a pump to pump seawater into a tank. Thought it’d be golden then but two hours later back to yellow. I filled up two fridge’s worth of fish even. My only guess at this point is to combine it with disco ball perk and building base by seawater so I can pump constant sea water for it and by an area where deer spawn
