Anyone else been able to get the De-Icer achievement for interrupting deep frost skarn 2 times in the same fight? Seems to be bugged in the epic stores launcher and can’t get it.

seemed to work fine for me. make sure ur actually interrupting him most likely during its spin move when there is an exclamation mark over it. just staggering it or knocking it down doesn't count as an interrupt even though te animations may look like it is. If that's still not the problem then atm im not sure what the issue would be. :/

Back in the day players were complaining about the fact that they couldn t choose a crown for each build, they fixed that, some aspects are better now and new players can experience the legendary abilities the weapons had, so that s a good thing in my opinion, if ur already a good player then the new hunt system shouldn t be that bad… even tho i still get one shotted with my weapons and armour max upgraded (i m a console player)

u get 1 point from the cell, and then the other 2-3 points are built into the armor itself once u max it to lvl 20. lvl 1-15 ish only gives u 1-2 points towards the perk but once u max it to lvl 20 u get the full amount. u have to have both the max lvl armor and the proper cells in each slot in order to activate everything properly

People complain a lot about this free to play game. If you don’t want to play it anymore then don’t play it anymore. You didn’t buy it so I think you’ll be ok. I put thousands of hours into this game, I didn’t like half the changes they made with the update, but you know what? I’m still playing this free to play game because it’s free to play and that’s good enough for me.

I jumped on Once Human today for 2 hours and there was not a single other player online on our server and we have not even finished our scenario yet.. No one posted in chat and there was no one else on the map or at the in game events..

It just seems like they are trying to be to many things with this game going in different directions, it's like this game is trying to be like SIMS, Palworld, Fortnite, a tactical PVP shooter looter and throwing in some zombies and monsters, they should be building in game content regularly with smaller events that add content for us to build on our preexisting progression instead of using resets every few weeks, they should of done 12 month resets not resets every few weeks.. I use to be a 10 hour a week player and as i did more resets i have become on average 3 to 4 hour a week and rarely a 6 hour player a week every few weeks or once a scenario because the resets make the game repetitive and grindy constantly restarting every few weeks to almost do the same thing over and over then deleting it and starting again, i'm surprised it has not driven people insane yet lol..

What they should of done is made Manibus novice our home map so we could progress in it without resets, then add expansions to it so we can move between servers and retain whatever we loot form the new server scenario and take back to our main base on Manibus to build on existing progression.. We TP all over the map now, they could have a system in place where we can TP to a new scenario server like way of winter build a small outpost base that has access to what we have unlocked on our main base do what we need there then go back to our main base with everything we collect.. On Call of duty DMZ we had 1 main big map then 3 to 4 other smaller maps we could load into and continue playing on, they could of done something similar like that with this game but leave it open world maps we can move between, as new scenario's come out they become an expansion on the larger map which you can put on different servers to reduce lag from cramming to much on the same server... Instead of Way of Winter being a whole new reset scenario they could of added Onyx Tundra, Vena Fjord and Ember Strand as separate scenario phases expansion on different servers to a bigger map of Manibus that we could TP load into while resetting mystical crates weekly for frags on all maps, should of made them extraction expansions to the main map Manibus like all new scenarios should be instead of resets and being stuck on a different server, same as moving between PVP and PVE similar to a TP but loading into a different server instead of being stuck on servers then having to reset.. It creates more freedom of movement while retaining progression which helps keep the game fresh.. Some of the settlements would make for really good pvp maps for ground war events that we could of loaded into for timed games then get rewarded for playing PVP, basically adding a ground war extraction mode with different maps made from the different regions, etc load into chalk peak or Iron river or Broken Delta or Onyx Tundra or Vena Fjord and make them a ground war with vehicles like APC, tanks and helicopters as a open world ground war extraction mode based on 4 different factions rosetta, mayflys, the column and the union, 6 smaller different factions would be better so it was more balanced, etc 6 factions with 10 to 20 players each faction, they could of done that with Prismverse let us move between our main base to Prismverse with a small 8 by 8 tile forward operating base we can arm to the teeth and compete for the events while we PVP.. Settlements like Furnace lair in chalk peak, Gaia military base, Blackfell junction, Hearst industries, blackfell city and oil refinery, Moose city, Wishland west and east, Frost forge, Asheton would of all made for good small map 30 minute multiplayer games as PVP events instead of the same old PVP stronghold wars, make the settlements in game the PVP stronghold war maps and constantly rotate them.. Most importantly they need more normal guns that we can use for PVP well more guns in general in the game, i would of rather they added a power surge grenade launcher or option to have power surge, acid gas grenade and explosive ammo for the grenade launcher than a power surge crossbow, we need more guns that we can use not guns that make us weaker or we have to chase balls on the ground to get buffs.. I would of rather seen fast gunner smg than a gun that makes you weaker for using it, same as it would be good to see DMR's in the game also more accessories for guns etc let me put a x2 scope on my sniper rifle for close range and quick scoping.. This game had so much potential they just needed to simplify it more with freedom of movement between servers and scenario's while maintaining progression without resets, resetting rewards, events and scenarios is fine as long as they add new content to them, every 12 months whole game reset would be fine too instead of resets every few weeks.. Resetting most the progression makes the game grindy and repetitive, the game was fine as it was when obtaining resources on the map for progression, making it easier to get resources to level up and keeping progression reset every few weeks does not change the game being repetitive and grindy because the resets every few weeks creates that..

Dunno am still on the fence with it all, plus side i can finish this PVE scenario then go back to PVP servers and stay there permanently.. The game is becoming more like a kids game and there's a lot of good games coming out in 2025 like ARC Raiders, Marathon, Beautiful Light, Black One Blood Brothers and other similar tactical extraction shooters and some open world tactical shooters that are not so kid orientated.. I came from games like The Division, Ghost Recon and Call of Duty DMZ and Zombies prior to Once Human hoping this game would be closer to an open world tactical shooter variant similar to call of duty DMZ with the addition of fighting monsters and zombies, well a open world tactical shooter that's not so much of s kids game like fortnite and palworld are.. I'm not sure where i will end up but with every reset on Once human i am playing the game less and less because i spend most my time restarting than actually playing the game, that and it's becoming more like a kids game playing with pokemon while losing the tactical shooter element of the game, this will be my last reset, good luck to them.. With the game i am mainly a solo player when on the PVE servers and i team up with players i cross paths with in game to team play to complete different tasks in game, that all stops at end phases so does progression after you collected all the frags from the map and wish machine, simple changes like reset mystical crates weekly on a server and adding events in game is what this game is mainly missing, interacting with other players you come across in the game help keep it fresh and resets just destroys all that along with having to start over constantly losing most of your progression every few weeks.. They need more weapons for more variety instead of weapons where you have to chase balls it drops or that new gun where you lose life for using it will be a flop too, why have a gun that makes you weaker when if you want a challenge use a tier 3 or 4 gun instead of tier 5 gun or don't use weapon food buffs on t5 weapons for a challenge.. It's a shame this game was fun at 1st and could of been a really good open world zombie and monsters tactical shooter with a mix of PVP and PVE.. There is a lot of good things about Once Human but there is a lot of negatives too, with some of these changes it is going to divide people up even more especially private servers, i'm in Australia we already have a smaller player base than USA and other countries, once people make their own servers the player base is going to be even less, they need to remove the resets and locking people in servers for weeks on scenario's and let us move freely between scenarios and servers while having a permanent main base on a server, etc people can have private server but make new scenario's expansion to a larger map that are open servers people can join and leave at any time during the scenario and maintain all progression instead of resets..

I would describe awakening as the work of a sloppy butcher. Many parts of the game have been hacked of and completely removed from the game to try and resell it to new and old players alike. Some new systems are in place that are a welcome change but without the systems which don't exist anymore I don't see the point. I love for example what they have done with the elemental debuffs, all elements having them and how some have changed is nice but with at best each class having 3 weapons of different elements out of 6 elements what's the point. I could use another weapon to abuse the elemental weakness of a behemoth but why can't I use the weapon I like the most? This is of course under the pretence that you can afford the "legendary" weapons which cost a 100 arbitrary coins that free too plays literally can't afford since the game doesn't allow you to get a 100 through grinding. Unless you already had an account with exotics or are willing to open your wallet you are stuck with 1 weapon of each element. For reasons like that I can't see this game becoming "better", the only direction it can go is being less shit which still means that it's shit. I would argue this even for someone who haven't seen how the game was before. The experience now is fun because the combat is still quite good (even though the servers are garbage) but the progression is as shallow as a puddle because of the systems removed and the systems that have taken their place.

we are literaly getting a ton more weapon tokens for free as part of seasonal events, first of which being frostfall which should be starting today... they said that in there post. it was poorly communicated but they intend to add a bunch more sources of weapon tokens to help with the exact problem people have with not being able to "afford" them flat out.

@@Glitchiz That's all well and good but the fact that initially there was no way for you to get the needed amount and no information of how this would or could change is terrible. Them "fixing" it with free tokens feels like an afterthought that should never have been needed, the system should have been more forgiving especially when the majority of weapons are locked behind this system. Also my original point still stands that the amount of weapons is laughable even with the ones from the store. The ones we have are robbed of the customisability that the older ones had despite the intentions being to make them more complex.

New PvP Scenario, Codenamed: Broken.... 🤣I can't anymore, they are takin' the piss with this one. I love the framework of the game, but this slow roll with content is killing the vibe and my latest Hive is dissolving after Season 4. The concurrent player numbers are starting to look abysmal and I worry, at least in the western hemisphere, Once Human will pull the plug.

Content creators for Dauntless smoke the finest of copeium. The compensation is not going to bring back the players. You and the devs keep trying to gaslight people with "I never used every weapon anyway" or "you never really had choice". By that logic Dauntless should be shut down because it takes up space for real AAA garbage on every platform. The devs should quit because they only have Dauntless and no one plays Dauntless anyway.

its not copium its true everyone used the same escalation weapons for every build barely any were used. unique weapons are much better. i do agree there should have been allot more at launch but unfortunately thats what happens when there is only two people on the team making weapons. the dauntless team is very small

@@Glitchiz every weapon set had a unique effect. by progressing through the game you eventually unlock the legendary ability that matches the element and apply the unique set effects to that "1" weapon. in which it makes that "1" weapon fit into thousands of builds. it sounds like you've never played before. there are only a handful of weapons and builds are restricted to armor and 1 ,if you're lucky 2, "unique" weapons that are just reskined versions of what we already had. and you have to pay to get them back... you might have brain damage or stuck in an abusive relationship. N'wah

@@jaeger3905 bro wtf are u talking about the only weapons that had built in specials were the escalation weapons & or legendaries at the time. the "ability" your talking about is the elemental build up effect that every single weapon in the game had... any terra weapon had a chance to eventually proc healing orb, every blaze weapon eventually could trigger burn etc... thats not a special ability per weapon... that was an inate side effect of the weapons element. I've been playing dauntless since launch stop trolling bro. Ur clearly the only one here that doesn't know what their talkin about.

@@jaeger3905 unless ur talking about the secondary effect for using it as a bond... u dont get any of the weapons side buffs if it was a bond just the perks. if ur talking about the side perk of each weapon when using it by itself then ok. but the point im making is everyone used the escalation weapons so u never saw the benefits of using those secondary bond weapons. it only worked if the lower quality weapon was the ACTUAL weapon u were using there was never a "on activate" ability. those were automatic. think we were refering to two different things so i apologize. i was referign to an "active" special ability.

lol "hey chat look it's me" :) It actually looks pretty good i think we might get the boss fights on the main map with the blood moon similar to how we have Chaosweavers but with different boss fights.. The new starcrom system and wish machine drops looks good, means we can continue to get frags and starcrom after phases finish, would be good if they reset mystical crates weekly too.. this will be my last reset for a while until they bring our new maps, and i can continue to make progression without having to start over every few weeks.. The resets slowed down progression big time for us casual players who play 4 to 6 hours a week, phase 4 is when i usually get my tier 5 gear.. I've done 5 resets on manibus now including prismverse and have only completed 2/3 of whats on the map also i did 1/3 of way of winter, half the time on manibus i spent restarting and i had move to get more starcrom and if i didn;t i would be left on a empty server ..

I mean, this is a step in the right direction, I guess. My main issue is how they've completely watered down builds. The grind increased & yet the builds are more limited than ever. Until the build system is re-addressed, I've no motivation to grind. It's good to see they're willing to listen to the complaints, but I fear it might be too late. They're going to be focused on walking back changes rather than adding content now. With the new Monster Hunter game dropping in less than 2 months, Dauntless isn't going to be getting much attention. They've fumbled their opportunity.

@ with the system right now, skills do nothing until the specific investment is reached. And the skills gain nothing beyond that investment breakpoint. This completely removes ‘min-maxing’, which is a crucial part to build diversity & overall enjoyment imo.

I disagree severely. The awakening is some good changes with a an avalanche of bad decisions like the new levelling system for weapons that need an insane amount of xp which they are "fixing" but the system should never have been this bad to begin with. Or how do you defend all the weapons they deleted? There existed so many ones with unique abilities and now we have at best 3 in each class which doesn't even cover the 6 elemental types. Of the 3 we have 2 are even locked behind a special currency that is impossible to acquire the needed amount of unless you already hade an account or you cough up the money needed to buy the rest. Then we have the escalations which are basically now redundant as the cool factor of them was the weapons with legendary abilities which now don't exist anymore.

@@AbnormalDude 1.) other than the escalation weapons (which is the only weapons players used) no other weapon had "special abilities" 2.) i stated in the video that the devs failed to communicate that there will be aditional free sources to get more weapon tokens to unlock more weapons the first major of which being the frostfall event going on right now basically. 3.) i agree on the lack of weapon variations at launch, but that's what happens when there is only 2 people on the team designing weapons its a very small team. More weapons will come and eventually fill out every element. they wished they could have had more rdy but it takes a long time. if youve never done ACTUAL game development like myself or any of the devs working on dauntless you wouldn't have any clue the work it takes to make them.

The problems are just too fundamental to the entire overhaul to just fix, this has been in development for so long that undoing it all is most likely going to take just as long, this game has progressively gotten LESS fun with every update, it all started with escalation and reached a tipping point with hunting grounds replacing pursuits for me which is when i quit, in fact the only reason i returned was because I had heard pursuits would be returning just to find out the 100 players still playing, to the surprise of no one actually LIKE it, and whatdya know instead realizing hey maybe lets not listen to that feedback cause catering to this crowd essentially killed the game for once when listening was actually the worst choice they actually did and didn't return pursuits as planned, I honestly refuse to play until it is fully reimplemented instead of just legend hunts.

Didn't see anything about returning/old players getting all their time and progression back, didn't see anything about weapon crafting being brought back so we don't have to pay for weapons or gamble for them in loot boxes, didn't see anything about the major things thats upset so many of us being fixed, and giving us rewards (which from what i've seen isn't even gonna boost anyone far) isn't a way of "fixing" stuff, so in general the devs say they've heard us, but in reality they clearly don't care as much as they want to make us believe.

The only real fix for all the changes they made is reverting back to the systems that were actually good and rewarding that werent broken and didnt need fixing. It wont get better because it already had "issues" before and now its worse so explain how it'll actually get better when they clearly arent committed to doing what actually needs to be done and are just going for bandaid fixes to the current broken systems that need to be completely changed to truly be "fixed"

The fact that your cell is locked to the armor pice you equiped it on is so irritating. This makes it so you can't use the same pice of armor on 2 different builds beacause you would constantly have to change out your cells. And since unequipping cells destroys them I just use different pices of armor on every build. And that can be very limiting.

3 of us haven't been on the game much since Awakening. Mostly due to lots of instability, crashes, kick outs, worsening lag and rubber banding. Not to mention pop up screens that freeze your slayer (couldn't get rid of pop up). We're waiting to see if its worth continuing to play. We use the switch.

Only the Peerless Aetherite is any good. They should have given us some weapon tokens so we can actually try to buy one or two new weapons, considering how annoying and tedious it is to get them. Especially for all the returning players they STOLE weapons from in the first place. Without that, this isn't good news at all.

I didn't hear about them until they launched on Steam. They had me at Monster Hunter knockoff. They lost me at P2W but will randomly steal/negate purchases. I won't be touching it.

isnt it 100 per weapon to unlock? people are going to unlock a couple and then when they release some more casual players wont have any left and will either pay or quit

I am utterly disgusted with the changes to how perks and armour works, so much so I have absolutely 0 intentions of touching the game until it is changed. I have no words to describe how awful it feels. This isn't mentioning the weapon changes. I cannot fathom how they even got the green light to remove weapon crafting. That is such an awful idea I don't think I could have come up with it in 10 lifetimes. It almost seems like it was sabotage. This was the possibly worst update to happen to any game in history. I was excited heading into it, but I have never been more disappointed in all my life with a game. I don't understand how they think they're going to fix it

well this patch tmw is a great start. as for weapon changes im ok with it. before we had hundreds of unused boring weapons everyone used the same shit. now we have weapons that are actually unique and usefull and different in every way. and more will continue releaseing with every update. so im not worried. to each is own though. if u dont like the game simply dont play it. anyone who takes the times to trash on anyone whos still enjoying the game for what it is currently is wrong. cuz plenty of us are still having a blast. :)

Nah, they are trying to give us stuff so we shut tf up, I won't stop complaining until they rework the cell systeam and add back weapon crafting.@@Glitchiz

@@Glitchiz How is it better? Every weapon is locked with two or three elements. If someone wants to use strikers against anything that's not weak to Terra or Radiant, well, they're out of luck. Sure, they'll release some, but how long will it take for every weapon to have one of each element? They'll need to add 23 weapons.

@@gabycashy5 with the right build the weapon element has barely any notice during combat. an opposing weapon element gives only +1 power rating. u can take down any behemoth with any element it just helps slightly if its the opposite type
