For years and years i have been good and kind, its my nature because i was born this way. But some people are taking advantage of my kindness and later i was the one being sidelined. Its so heartbreaking that i feel its time i act differently and never be kind anymore to anyone. Live alone and stay quiet and let go. I should love myself first. Let go let God.🙏

It sounds like you’ve been through some really tough experiences, and it’s understandable to feel disheartened when your kindness is taken for granted. It’s painful to feel sidelined after giving so much of yourself. Your decision to focus on self-love and self-care is not only brave but necessary. “Let go and let God” is a powerful mantra in moving forward and healing. Remember, choosing to love yourself first doesn’t mean you have to close off your kindness to the world. It means prioritizing your well-being and setting boundaries that protect your emotional and mental health. It's about finding a balance where you can still be kind but not at the expense of your own happiness and peace. Sometimes, taking a step back to reassess how we interact with others can lead to healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life. You don’t have to be alone to love yourself first; rather, you can learn to form connections that are reciprocal and respectful. If you ever need tips on setting effective boundaries or want to share more about your journey, our community is here for you. We’re here to support each other in finding that balance and ensuring that kindness is both given and received with appreciation and respect. You're not alone in these feelings, and it’s okay to take the time you need to heal and decide how you want to move forward. 🙏

Thank you for sharing your perspective! At Wisdom in Real Life, we understand that finding balance in how we communicate, including practicing Right Speech, doesn’t necessarily mean being nice at the expense of our own well-being or letting others take advantage of us. It's more about being mindful, truthful, and kind in our interactions, which sometimes means setting firm boundaries or standing up for ourselves and others in a compassionate way. It's important to navigate these situations with wisdom, ensuring our speech reflects our values and respects both our needs and those of others. Have you found any strategies that help you maintain this balance in your interactions? We’d love to hear more about your experiences and thoughts on this.

Thank you for emphasizing the power of these six transformative words! Your insight aligns perfectly with the principles we cherish at Wisdom in Real Life. Each of these words carries the weight of kindness, humility, gratitude, and openness, serving as fundamental tools for fostering connection, empathy, and understanding in our daily interactions. "Please" shows respect for others' autonomy. "Thank you" expresses gratitude and recognition. "Sorry" acknowledges mistakes and the willingness to grow. "Help" admits vulnerability and opens the door to collaboration. "I understand" communicates empathy and connection. "Yes" embodies openness and the willingness to engage positively with the world. What a beautiful and insightful comment, thank you for sharing it with our community at Wisdom in Real Life! Your words resonate deeply with the values we hold dear-kindness, mindfulness, and discernment. Your message serves as a gentle reminder that while kindness is a cornerstone of a meaningful life, it's equally important to ensure that our generosity of spirit doesn't lead us to being taken advantage of. Acknowledging the actions of others is a form of mindfulness that allows us to see the true nature of our relationships. This awareness gives us the wisdom to discern which connections are nurturing and which may be harmful. It's a delicate balance to maintain, being kind and open-hearted, yet protective of our own well-being. Your advice to remain kind, regardless of the outcome, is a testament to the strength and resilience of a compassionate spirit. It's a reminder that our kindness is not a weakness but a profound strength that can change the world, one interaction at a time. If you have any personal experiences or thoughts on how you've navigated this balance in your own life, we'd love to hear more. Your perspective is a valuable part of what makes our community so special. Thank you for being a part of it and for spreading kindness and wisdom. 🥰

The impact of such words can be profound, turning around someone's bad day, inspiring confidence in their abilities, or simply reminding them that they are appreciated. It's a ripple effect that can spread far beyond the initial interaction. If you have any memorable experiences or stories where your choice of words significantly uplifted someone, or if there are particular phrases you find especially effective, we'd love to hear more. You bring up a very important point, and it's one that resonates deeply with our discussions here at Wisdom in Real Life. While words are powerful and can uplift or inspire, they must be matched by actions to truly embody the values we talk about, like compassion and kindness. It's understandable to feel disappointed when there's a disconnect between what people say and what they do. Actions do speak louder than words, and your preference for seeing kind actions over hearing comforting words highlights the need for authenticity in our interactions. We encourage everyone in our community to reflect on how they can align their actions with their words. It’s about living our values, not just speaking about them. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and reminding us of the importance of genuine helpfulness and action. Your insight adds a crucial perspective to our ongoing conversation about making real, positive changes in the world.

You’ve captured an essential truth about kindness and the complexities of human interactions. It’s important to recognize that while kindness is a valuable trait, it can sometimes be misunderstood or exploited by others. Being vigilant and observant of how people respond to and treat your kindness is crucial in protecting yourself from being taken advantage of. Staying positive, seeking the truth, and being prepared to step away from unhealthy situations are all wise strategies. It's a balance of maintaining your integrity and well-being while being open and kind. Remembering to prioritize your own needs is not selfish; it's necessary for your own health and happiness. As you rightly pointed out, phrases like "Yes, please," "Thank you," and "I understand" are simple yet profound tools that can open doors to new opportunities, relationships, and mutual respect in ways we sometimes underestimate. Manners indeed make our interactions smoother and more positive, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard. It sounds like you’re feeling underappreciated and possibly exhausted from your efforts to satisfy everyone around you. It’s tough to give so much of yourself and feel like your kindness isn’t being recognized or valued. As a Virgo, you might often find yourself striving for perfection and deeply caring for others, but it’s important to also take care of your own needs and emotional well-being. Finding a balance where you can still be kind and giving without feeling taken for granted is crucial. Setting boundaries might be beneficial, allowing you to continue expressing your kindness while protecting your energy. It’s okay to prioritize yourself and your family, and it's okay to say no or to not meet everyone else’s expectations all the time. Your prayers for your children and yourself show your strong desire for well-being and positivity in your life. Trust that your kindness and positive intentions have a profound impact on you and your children, even if others don’t always acknowledge it. Remember, your value and the value of your actions don't decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth. If you ever need strategies for setting boundaries or tips for self-care, our community is here to help. You're not alone in these feelings, and many can relate and offer support. Keep nurturing your kindness, but remember to include yourself in the kindness you give so freely to others.

Thank you for sharing such a profound reflection with our community at Wisdom in Real Life! Your journey of awakening and your insights into the power of helping others, the significance of silence, and the impact of frequencies on our well-being are truly inspiring. The idea that helping others can boost our own mood is well-documented in psychological studies, and it's wonderful to hear you've experienced this firsthand. Your analogy of tuning into the right frequency to hear "heavenly music" beautifully captures the essence of aligning with positive energies and the transformative experiences that can follow. The practice of silence, as observed among Buddhist monks, is indeed a powerful message in self-discipline and mindfulness. It teaches us that sometimes the most impactful communication can come from choosing when to speak and when to listen or reflect in silence. This can prevent misunderstandings and foster a deeper sense of peace within ourselves and with others. Setting boundaries is an essential part of maintaining respect and ensuring that your kindness is not taken for granted. It’s important to stand firm in your values while also being generous and compassionate. Thanks for highlighting this important aspect, and keep embracing your strength as you extend your good nature to others.

Reading many people's comments here, sadly, people want to give up on being kind. I sure think that that is the answer. I've been taken advantage of too, so I do understand. However, being kind does Not mean not having boundaries to stick up for ourselves & not allowing people to walk all over us. It's also Very important to be able to discern who to give our trust to, and allow our walls to come down. And as SOON as someone crosses our boundaries, we Need to IMMEDIATELY stand up for ourselves & put them in their place!
@wisdominreallife
@wisdominreallife Ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing such a wise and balanced perspective. It's essential to remember that kindness does not equate to weakness or a lack of boundaries. Instead, true kindness includes respecting ourselves enough to set and maintain clear boundaries. This ensures that our generosity and compassion are sustainable and not something that leads to our detriment. Your emphasis on discernment in trusting others and the importance of immediate action when boundaries are crossed is crucial. These are not just protective measures but also empowering steps that help maintain the integrity of our kindness. It's understandable that repeated negative experiences can make anyone hesitant to continue being open and kind. However, by combining kindness with strong boundaries and discernment, as you've described, we can continue to be kind without compromising our well-being. Thank you again for contributing such an insightful comment. Your words undoubtedly provide encouragement and guidance to many who struggle with maintaining kindness in the face of adversity. Let's continue to support each other in practicing kindness in a balanced and healthy way.

Thank you for your thoughtful response! You're absolutely right-maintaining calmness and consistency is key to overcoming obstacles and achieving our goals. It often requires more effort and self-control to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively, but the outcomes are usually much more positive and fruitful. Your point about making it easy to do the right thing is an excellent strategy. By setting up our environments, routines, and mindsets to support positive actions, we can reduce the temptation to act negatively or destructively. Thank you for sharing your perspective and for recognizing the value of encouragement. Keep embracing these positive approaches, and may your path be filled with successful and harmonious achievements!

It was funny because I dated a narcissist, and he could never make anything work. He was always broke, and I tried to explain to him that if you’re kind to people, people will help you like money doesn’t grow on trees. It sounds like you went through quite a challenging experience, and thank you for sharing that with us. Dealing with someone who has narcissistic traits can indeed be difficult, especially when their perspectives and behaviors affect their relationships and financial stability. Your insight into kindness and its role in reciprocity and support within relationships is spot-on. Money and opportunities often flow through networks of goodwill and mutual support-people are generally more inclined to help those who are considerate and positive towards others. It’s a powerful lesson in the importance of how we treat others, not just for personal gain but as a principle of being part of a community. Your experience highlights an important truth about interpersonal relationships and the broader implications of our attitudes towards others. If you have any more insights or stories from your experiences, they could be very valuable for others who might be navigating similar situations. Thank you again for your openness and for contributing to our discussion. Your perspective adds depth to our understanding of how personal behavior can impact various aspects of our lives.

It’s remarkable how the negative often tends to stick with us more than the positive, which can be a real challenge when trying to communicate effectively and build lasting, positive relationships. This highlights the power of words and the importance of choosing them wisely. It also serves as a reminder for us to practice forgiveness and understanding, knowing that we all can make mistakes in what we say at times. Trying to focus on and remember the good in what others say, just as we hope they will with us, can help build a more compassionate and forgiving community. It sounds like you've been through some challenging experiences, and it's completely understandable that you feel the need to withdraw as a form of self-protection. Constantly facing hurt despite showing kindness can be deeply disheartening and emotionally exhausting. Taking time to step back and care for yourself is not only wise but necessary. Remember, prioritizing your mental and emotional well-being is important. This period of withdrawal can be a valuable time for self-reflection and healing. It might also be helpful to explore boundaries that allow you to interact with others in a way that feels safe and sustainable for you. If you ever feel ready, consider reaching out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional who can provide support. Sometimes, sharing our experiences and receiving understanding and validation can be incredibly healing. Thank you for sharing your feelings and experiences with us. With so many covert narcissists in the world today seeking to ruin lives, it is a good idea to beware of people that use kind words as a way to manipulate. Be kind yet discerning about others before you reply or speak to them.
@wisdominreallife
@wisdominreallife 23 күн бұрын
You've raised a very important point about the need for discernment in our interactions, especially in a world where not everyone's intentions are transparent or benign. It's essential to recognize that while kindness is a virtue, it should be practiced with wisdom and awareness of the motives of others. This does not mean we need to be suspicious of everyone, but rather that we should be observant and thoughtful about the contexts in which we engage and the nature of the interactions we have. Being kind yet discerning allows us to protect ourselves from potential manipulation while still contributing positively to our communities. It helps maintain a balance where we can offer compassion and support without compromising our own well-being. Thank you for emphasizing the importance of being cautious with those who may use kind words as a façade for less noble intentions. Your insight is a valuable reminder for us all to cultivate not only kindness but also the wisdom to navigate complex social landscapes safely and effectively.

I work nights and live on a busy street in a major city, I don't have many instances where I'm torn out of a solid sleep state. But one afternoon I was rudely awakened when the windows on my house were vibrating and rattling violently. This went on for what seemed a long time as usually a passing car playing loud music will quickly get out of ear shot. So I got out of bed and went outside to investigate and found there was a guy across the street in his car waiting for someone. His music was incredibly loud, quite impressive really but I was more than a little annoyed by this. As I approached this man I started thinking about a different approach to engaging with this person. Expressing my anger with sharp words hasn't ever got me anywhere and I'm not trying to be insane, never learning, never shifting gears to achieve a higher speed. I tapped on his window and he rolled it down and the music with it. I apologized for interrupting him and explained that normally I wouldn't but I was woken out of a sound sleep by his rather impressive sound system. He started to express his regret for not thinking about his music being so loud, but I stopped him. I told him he didn't owe me any apology but I did appreciate the sentiment. I told him that at first I was upset but while approaching him I had a deeper more profound perspective enter my thoughts and decided just to be cool and respectfully explain my interaction with him. He really appreciated where I was coming from and said he was impressed by how I engaged in the situation and would himself be more mindful in any future encounters like the one we were in. Both of us felt better about an uncomfortable potentially confrontational situation. We both learned a different way of dealing with people in not assuming that person as the source of something in the moment annoying us as being an awful person and subsequently treating them as such. Respect for others can only be achieved by respecting oneself.
@wisdominreallife
@wisdominreallife 28 күн бұрын
What a fantastic example of how thoughtful communication and empathy can transform a potentially negative interaction into a positive and mutually respectful exchange. Your approach to handling the situation with understanding rather than anger not only resolved the immediate issue but also left both parties feeling respected and heard. This is a powerful reminder of the impact our approach to conflict can have on the outcome. By choosing to engage calmly and politely, you’ve likely influenced how that individual will handle similar situations in the future, spreading the practice of mindfulness and respect further. Your story beautifully illustrates the principle that respect for others starts with respect for oneself, and how stepping back to gain a broader perspective can lead to more constructive interactions. Thank you for sharing this enlightening experience. It's a valuable lesson for us all in the importance of shifting our approach and the profound effect it can have on our interactions with others. Your story is a great example of how we can all work towards better understanding and kindness in our everyday lives.

@@wisdominreallife Yer gonna make me blush over here, LOL! I appreciate the kind words and I'm always willing to share some insights on my experiences in life. I have many, some inspire the philosophical musings I've created, some brought me to the edge of the cliff only to hold on and look back to see I've moved miles beyond that precipice. The message in this content resonates with me in that I've experienced the power of this. I used to look in the mirror and wonder who is this old bastard looking back at me. Then one day, I started saying more positive and encouraging words to my reflection. I literally turned the clock back fifteen+ years in my appearance. The mind isn't just a hard drive to store memories and accessing gained knowledge. It is in fact a powerful reality generator, if all of us had a single thought at the same time we could manifest that thought into reality. This is a theory shared by quantum physicist and something I've also experienced, but I'll share that later. We are only as good as we can communicate and when we give our undivided attention to someone whose speaking to us it shows we genuinely care about that person. But I must warn you, we live in a world where our language has been weaponized against us. Where plays on words we think we know the meaning of are not used in the context we think they are. One of those words is one of your six, I "Understand". Understand in legalese means "Stand Under" which in the context it's used in asks you if you stand under my interpretation of the law. I've spoken to many different people from around the planet and I've found that we are of a handful of languages that have words with many meanings. Many other languages used by those who speak them have one word with one meaning. Anyway, I'll spare you the doom and gloom and keep the inspiring message of this video close in mind. I subbed and rang the bell, so I look forward to the next one and perhaps I'll have a relevant experience I can share in the comments. Have a great day and thanks again.

This viewpoint can provide comfort and a sense of peace, helping one to see difficult experiences as opportunities for growth and understanding. It sounds like you're facing a really tough situation, and it's understandable how that can make life feel hard. Being kind and generous, especially to those closest to us, should bring joy and fulfillment, not leave us feeling taken advantage of or blamed unfairly. Finding a balance between being kind and setting boundaries is crucial. It’s important to communicate openly about your feelings with those around you, including your family. Letting them know how their actions affect you can help them understand your perspective and may encourage more respectful and considerate behavior. Also, consider reinforcing your boundaries more firmly. It's okay to say no or to ask for what you need in return from relationships. It doesn’t make you less kind or caring; it makes your kindness sustainable and protects your well-being. If you continue to struggle, seeking support from a counselor or therapist could provide you with additional strategies to manage these dynamics more effectively. You deserve to feel valued and respected in all your relationships. Thank you for sharing your experiences, and remember, taking steps to protect your own well-being is not only important for you but for your ability to be there for others as well.

Absolutely, the principles of mutual respect, liking each other, and helping one another are central to many teachings, including those found in various religious and spiritual traditions. These principles reflect a universal call to foster community, kindness, and compassion-qualities that are often emphasized as being close to the heart of what many believe God desires for us. Your reminder encourages us all to look beyond our differences and to focus on the common values that can unite us: love, assistance, and mutual respect. By doing so, we not only enrich our own lives but also contribute positively to the lives of others around us. Thank you for sharing this beautiful thought. It's a meaningful and uplifting message that we all need to hear and practice more consistently in our daily lives.

It’s completely understandable to feel challenged to maintain kindness when faced with people who seem to intentionally provoke or upset you. These situations can be really tough and test our resolve to remain calm and kind. At Wisdom in Real Life, we often talk about the importance of setting healthy boundaries and finding constructive ways to respond to negativity. It's not about suppressing your feelings but rather managing them in a way that aligns with your values and doesn't escalate the situation. Practicing mindfulness techniques, such as taking a moment to breathe deeply and reflect before responding, can be very helpful in these scenarios. It allows you to address the situation from a place of calm rather than react impulsively. Sometimes, simply acknowledging your feelings internally before choosing how to outwardly respond can make a significant difference in maintaining your composure and integrity. Remember, it’s okay to express that you’re upset or to remove yourself from a toxic situation. Being kind doesn’t mean allowing others to disrespect or mistreat you. If you have any strategies that have worked for you in the past or if you’re seeking advice on how to handle such situations better, feel free to share or ask. Our community is here to support each other in navigating these difficult interactions as gracefully as possible.

Thank you for sharing such a profound insight from your experiences. It’s true that by embodying kindness and positivity, we can attract a wide range of people into our lives, both those who resonate with our light and those who may challenge it. Learning to discern the intentions and nature of others can be a crucial skill in navigating these interactions effectively. Understanding whether someone is open to transformation or entrenched in negativity can help in deciding how much to engage with them or whether to set boundaries. Trust is something that is built over time and through consistent actions. It’s important to trust your instincts and seek out relationships that support and uplift you, while being cautious with those who might drain your energies or have less positive intentions. If you're finding it challenging to navigate these dynamics or to decide who can be trusted, it might be helpful to consult with someone who can offer you a deeper understanding or guidance, whether it’s through professional counseling or spiritual advisement. Your experiences add valuable depth to our discussions, reminding us all of the importance of vigilance and wisdom in our interactions. It sounds like you're going through a very tough and distressing situation. It must be incredibly challenging to deal with such pain and conflict, especially with your current physical condition. I'm sorry to hear that you've been treated this way, particularly when you were trying to be helpful. It's important to have support during such times, not only for handling the immediate issues with your neighbor but also for your broader health and well-being. It might be beneficial to seek advice from a legal professional or a community advocate who can offer guidance on how to address the situation with your neighbor safely and legally, especially considering the owed money and the assault. Taking care of your physical health is also crucial. If you haven't already, please consider consulting with a healthcare provider who can help manage the pain and risks associated with your neck injury. You deserve to be treated with respect and care, and it's important to have the right support systems in place to protect your rights and health. Remember, you're not alone, and there are services and professionals who can help guide you through these challenges.

I think I understand this it’s maybe 🤔 talking better so my life can be a bit calmer and flow a bit better. Because when I was a bit defensive words that came from my mouth 👄 I regretted later. Words are power especially in the heat of anger. So l’m trying even when l’m angry to talk a bit better so help my situation and me and the other person can walk away from each other with less stress and anger. Sometimes this works. Why do I want to always stay in fight mode it doesn’t help my mind and body. Maybe I choose better words so that l’m not always fighting life
@wisdominreallife
@wisdominreallife 16 күн бұрын
It sounds like you've gained some really insightful reflections on how your choice of words affects your interactions and your own well-being. Recognizing that your defensive responses have led to regret is a powerful observation, and your effort to shift towards calmer, more constructive communication-even when angry-is commendable. Your approach to consciously choosing your words to de-escalate tension and reduce stress is a great strategy. It not only helps in resolving conflicts more peacefully but also contributes to your mental and emotional health. It's natural to feel like staying in "fight mode" because it can sometimes seem like the easiest or most instinctive response. However, as you've noticed, this mode can be draining and unhelpful in the long run. Choosing better words and striving for peaceful resolutions is a practice that can take time to refine, but every step you take is a positive one. It's about breaking old habits and forming new ones that better serve you and your relationships. Keep up your efforts; the benefits you're beginning to see can grow even more over time. Thank you for sharing your journey towards more mindful and effective communication. It's inspiring to hear how you are actively working to improve not only your interactions but also your quality of life.

Thank you for sharing your feelings and observations-it’s a crucial reminder that the spirit in which words are spoken is just as important as the words themselves. Authenticity and intention really do make a difference in how messages are received and perceived. You’re absolutely right that when words are used mechanically or sarcastically, they lose their genuine impact and can even feel disingenuous or hurtful, regardless of their positive nature. It’s not just about being sensitive; it’s about seeking a real connection and sincerity in interactions, which everyone deserves. At Wisdom in Real Life, we often discuss the importance of mindfulness in communication-not just what we say but how and why we say it. It’s about ensuring our words align with our true intentions and feelings, and creating an environment where conversations are meaningful and heartfelt. Your insight encourages us all to be more mindful and to strive for authenticity in our words and actions. Thank you for bringing this important aspect of communication to the forefront. I was evicted from our home for a very Fraudulent claim made by millionaires on our property. I am homeless. I'm deeply sorry to hear about the hardships you're facing, including the loss of your mother and your current situation. It sounds incredibly tough, and your resilience in maintaining kindness and care towards others despite these challenges is truly admirable. Being kind and a source of light for others is indeed remarkable, but it’s also essential to ensure that you are receiving support and kindness in return, especially during such difficult times. The wisdom of kindness is not just about giving but also about allowing yourself to receive help and compassion from others. It might be helpful to connect with community resources or organizations dedicated to helping those in need, including those facing homelessness. Many communities have services that can provide support, legal aid, and guidance on dealing with housing issues. If you're comfortable sharing your location, I might be able to suggest specific organizations or resources. Please remember, asking for help and accepting it isn't a failure-it’s a vital step towards stability and improvement in your circumstances. You're not alone, and there are people and communities ready to support you. Your parents' teachings of goodness are a strong foundation, and seeking assistance to navigate this difficult time can be part of honoring those teachings. If you’d like, I’m here to continue this conversation and help find resources or support in any way I can. You deserve care and support just as much as anyone else. 💔

That's a sharp observation and quite true! Communication often involves a complex interplay between what is said, how it's said, and how it's interpreted by the listener. The difference between speaking and hearing can be influenced by many factors, including individual perspectives, emotions, past experiences, and even the environment at the time of the conversation. Your comment highlights the importance of striving for clarity in our communication and seeking to understand fully what others are trying to convey. It also reminds us to be mindful of the potential misinterpretations that can occur and the need for patience and clarification in our interactions. Additionally, our Zen master panel often contributes with their extensive knowledge and experience, blending traditional teachings with modern applications. If there’s a specific area you're interested in, I can provide more targeted book recommendations. Thank you again for your curiosity and engagement with our content!
