Damn I really can’t win can I. I was expecting some bad comments from the end but not the beginning. I have people in here every week complaining about the driving standards and the one time I do something about it I get attacked. I might as well not bother and let the races be crash fests. At least the vitriol wouldn’t be all on me then because nobody remembers the races where I’m the only one to crash and *don’t* restart (like what literally happened a few races ago). I tried to judge it for the first time and thought it was a bit too bad crash wise, so I figured we’d try again. I won’t make that mistake again. I was simply trying something to make things a big cleaner. I wasn’t doing it for “personal gain” because… well, it’s a bloody random all race. It’s doesn’t really matter in the end. Anyway, message received loud and clear. For sure I’ll go away and check myself up on stuff like this in future, and try to improve. Not sure how at the moment but I’ll do my best. And I guess no race restarts again. I’m not going to be responsible for judging that, especially when it’s only ever going to be a negative response for me. I’ll never be able to do right.

You did the right thing! I aspire to my gta racing experience being that of your streams quality and some people don’t understand the concept of backing out and living to fight for another day. Please don’t let the loud grunts of Neanderthals taint what has made the gta racing series on this channel as good as it is.

My man these comments are tripping, the entire thesis of your crew and project homecoming is PROPER RACING. You've been crashed out on the first lap a billion times, finally try to enforce some rules with a restart for the betterment of everyone racing, and the comments are crying because they really think you did it for the personal gain of...doing better at a virtual race. I'd say keep up the restarts, people gotta learn what a brake pedal is somehow. I guess just keep it out of the youtube vid, because these kids don't have critical thinking skills and will throw a fit thinking you're a cheater lol.

It's honest to god concerning at this point that people on this server are still crashing in tiny cars and tractors. You did the right thing, it's just a shame a large portion of your fanbase is very very fickle. Do what you think is right, because at the end of the day you're the one racing not them.

After that “first lap” it would seem Brough needs to make a PSA about driving etiquette with all these new people. When behind someone the answer is NOT….full ramming speed ahead.

They should be given three warnings before being perm blacklisted. And he should continue doing this 1st lap reset thing for especially bad first laps. If someone crashes someone else and waits? That's fine and shouldn't be a strike. But for those who don't wait and get reported after the race ends, they should get given a strike I'm assuming broughy had people complaining a while back, which is why it became more lax. But a few years back, it was never this bad, people continuously called out others in races, people wiated as they should, and the rules were enforced. This made the racing way more enjoyable

That is what new people, and Brough included, need to do more often. But even considering that, PH staff get crap anyway if we sin bin someone for bad racing, so no one wins.

@@DiNmiTe May have not been clear, apologies for that, I didn't mean the KZbin comments counting as reporting. You let me know a bit ago that people who take part in the race, if they have a problem with someone not waiting, can report it to you guys afterwards. Although I may have got that wrong And I completely agree. But the new people would learn quicker if the rules actually had weight to them like they used to. Where everyone would wait if asked. It still happened a few years back, but there is a clear contrast between current races and those from back then. From how clean the racing was, all the way to the ingame chat being more active as more people called each other out because people had respect enough to stop if asked to. Now, if newer drivers aren't going to stop, others won't bother calling them out during the race as it'll do nothing at that moment If they're being an arse stain, sin bin them. Why do you care what they think if they're not going to respect the etiquette?

Brough, for what it's worth, I appreciate your attempts to keep the racing clean. I watch Failrace for the same reason, it's good clean racing for the most part, and I prefer to see racing built on talent. The last lap crash was unfortunate, but everyone fucks up now and again. As for the people attacking you in the comments, there is nothing stopping you from just disabling comments altogether. I don't mind not being able to post encouragement if the bullies lose their platform as well.

No matter how far away you stray from Public GTA Driving, Public GTA Driving will never stop catching up. It's why committed servers on 5M like Project Homecoming or Pro Gamer Network, Whitelist their servers to filter out griefers/untrustworthy players/kids (the last one is usually reserved to servers who _Enforce_ the R18 rule)

Random all idea. Before the race starts, you are only allowed to press the random car button once to pick your first car to start with, each person will start with something different, then the race goes on normally
