That's awesome! I drew a bighorn sheep tag for the Missouri Breaks in Montana this year and filled my tag with my bow! I can 100% relate to the challenges and the unbelievable emotions you were feeling! Congratulations sir! Well done!

Beautifully produced video! If you like "challenges" why not trade that compound in for a recurve or longbow? I've killed game with both, but it feels more rewarding when it's done "traditionally."

@@connorclark4289 imma have to try this. I know it would be dangerous back home but in the Midwest I think it’ll be great 😂

Cool video and way to make the most of that tag. I gotta say though I do not personally like the fact that parents can buy points for their kids. Big game is a public resource and stacking points for children creates an unfair advantage for that resource. In certain states you could have 18pts walking into your first year of eligibility for a tag which isn’t right.

You are not allowed to apply in CO until you are 12 years old (legal hunting age) here. My father gave me the option to pick sheep, moose or goat to apply for before I could make my own money. I picked sheep. Never had an unfair advantage over anyone else who was applying for the tag.

Fake news! 18 years old to be eligible to hunt ??? Go fish.

I disagree powerfully with you about a hunt without a 'challenge' being pointless! I raised 4 children on deer meat grown on our farm in west Nebraska, and it certainly was not 'pointless' for us to hunt them, there really was not any 'challenge' as such per se, because we could just raise the window on the house and shoot one anytime the season was open and we had permits! But it was a NECESSITY for us, our meat supply was right there all around us, and certainly there was very much great points to do so, challenge or no challenge!

To each his own as to what makes a “hunt” for me sounds like you did some shooting and processing. Necessary yes, truly “hunting”questionable at best.
