Deathblow resist negation doesn't count towards the deathblow unless they're on death's door already. On that same note enemies that have deathblow resist will always go on deaths door before you can kill them and require an additional action to do so.

Little tip to watch out for, Rhaps. If the enemy has two hashes under their deathblow resist, they die immediately on 0HP, if they have 0 deathblow resist they trigger deaths door but will die to any hit following that.

One thing I will say is that a few of the classes are vastly different than they used to be. The game does reward mixing and matching quite a bit, as long as you balance out the needs. I know how much you love the Jester, Rhaps, and you should still love them here. Just know that some of the classes you didn't like before aren't like they were in DD1 (in case you didn't already know). :)

You can also click and hold on the altar of hope of the thing you want to unlock, so you don't have to click multiple times on the Image to spend hope

I'm very excited to see you play this. If I could make a small request, could you hover on the inn names and read the tooltips when you get to a new inn? I haven't played the game, and I don't know what all they do. I just know each inn has a different effect and you can see them in the tooltip on the inn name.

Quick tip: there is a hotkey you can press at any given time to pull up a short glossary of all the (non unique) status effects in the game I think it'd CTRL but I'm not sure, it'll be in the settings
