Happy Christmas Octave my lovely folks!!!
Well, New Year's Eve is here so I took this chance to re-record in good quality this song I had translated to Latin 7 years ago, and also corrected some misspellings in the lyrics!
If you notice some of my Latin translations on my channel have been put to private since I plan to re-take them all this 2024 and record them properly now that I have a mic and not longer need my phone, while also translating new songs into the most beautiful language on Earth

You sang that beautifully. If it's ok, I'd like to say a few things about the Latin: instead of quemquam, it should be aliquis (quisquam is only used in negative sentences and quemquam would be accusative). Instead of argentus equis it should be argentos equos (accusative). Annis should be anni (nominative case). Maenat probably means manet (manere means to remain).

To be fair, shouldn't it be either "Argento equos video" (complement of quality in ablative with the noun argentum,i) or "Argenteos equos video" (argenteus,a,um; 1st class adj) ? The first option only would fit in the syllables, tho

*interpretatione tua Lost myself on the cases there but to my defense I've never learned to speak Latin, I've simply graduated the "classical" lyceum (here in Italy we have a specific type of highschool with focus on classical studies, so Latin galore but of course only in view of being able to translate and comprehend literature) the standard way, so I frankensteined words together a tad bit 😂 Anyway, ecclesiastical pronunciation>>>>>>

I've never studied Latin 🙈the few things I know are because I've been attending Traditional Mass since 2015 (That's why my pronunciation is always the ecclesiastical one ☺) So it's a bit hard sometimes to translate certain verbs (mostly) I'm not used to, and I basically have to trust Glosbe's Dictionary examples where they take some texts in Spanish and give you the Latin equivalent 😅! But I have so much fun trying and I have to admit I am a huge fan of this language! And I'm so amazed by the classical studies you have!! You're so lucky!! I would have LOVED to study in that kind of academy!! 😍
