Carlisle is just amazing. His instant regret and what he says to August always gets me crying. Also, I loved your theory that the curse was a prison for him! Fun idea. Even when you find out things are going a different way than you guessed, I like that you leave in your earlier predictions.

Oh, absolutely! His performance in this one absolutely gutted me, as evidenced by all the ugly crying :D To be honest, I specifically leave in some incorrect predictions like that so when I start getting the inevitable comments accusing me of faking reactions, I can instantly shut them down by pointing to all the incorrect guesses I made along the way. I'm playing the long game with the trolls :D

the part where he posed as Bae was so sad and intense
@nebulousreactions24 күн бұрын
Oh, agreed! That part totally gutted me. Both actors did a stellar job, because even though Rumple's actor stole the show, August's actor did phenomenally as well with his reactive performance. His reaction is what made me realize he was not Bae, because of things like how he looked at the dagger as if seeing it for the first time. That's incredibly subtle but fantastic acting.

I highly recommend you keep your reactions to this episode in mind. You said something very interesting in your comments during the reaction. === I love how in the flashback, Rumple still isn't speaking with the imp voice but with Robert's natural voice even though he's become the Dark One by that point. It shows that, despite his behavior and what Baelfire thought, part of Rumple was still Human. === I love how the episode kept us entirely in Rumple's viewpoint to mislead us. I don't always enjoy figuring out the plot twist before it gets revealed. === Personally, I feel Blue didn't entirely help Baelfire out of the goodness of her heart but because she saw it as a way of getting rid of the Dark One (understandable once you understand what the Darkness actually is). === Fun Fact: Jared S. Gilmore won a Young Actors Award in 2012 for his portrayal of Henry on Once Upon a Time. Since his appearance in the series finale of Once Upon a Time, which aired in May 2018, Gilmore has retreated from the acting scene. This makes sense since the acting world is very hard on children and thankfully Jared has never descended to some of the coping mechanisms that others have resorted to. His last known role was a voice role as the character Shalio in the English dub of the Japanese Anime movie Code Geass Lelouch of the Re;surrection, which was released in 2019.

While it's disappointing we probably won't be getting more acting from Gilmore, if acting wasn't his passion, then I'm happy he didn't stick with it for the money or fame. That's a recipe for all kinds of badness. It's much better to find what makes you genuinely happy, and I hope he finds that. I'm curious what I said that was interesting, but I assume you withheld it because it's spoiler-y. I do appreciate the restraint, because I hate spoilers so much. Someone spoiled the reveal of Ruby early on and I'm still kinda annoyed when I think about it :D

@@nebulousreactions You're welcome for the restraint. I love when reactors accidently figure things out in an offhand comment but hate it when someone points it out to them. It ruins are experience as much as it ruins yours.

Ya know, never really thought deeply on it...but before the curse, Regina spent almost 20 years building up all that hate. That is so intense. And, being aware during the curse, that means she spent almost 50 years hating Snow for being manipulated by Cora. Wow. Also, Giancarlo Esposito (Sydney Glass) will always betray someone. I've yet to see him in a role where he doesn't. Honestly, I'd never trust him or Kyle McLachlan (who routinely plays bad or questionable dads). And also YES. So with you on the Blue Fairy. She's kind of a villain in my eyes. Definitely for what she did to Nova and some other stuff. Not huge fan of Blue.

Yeah, that is such a long time to nurse a grudge and hatred. It's almost like an emotional cancer, and Regina is absolutely riddled with it after all these years.

I don’t like Sydney but we can’t blame him because he is in love with Regina and he is able of anything for love. So it’s not really his fault.
@nebulousreactions24 күн бұрын
Agreed. I think in this episode I refer to him as a "broken person" which I think is fairly apt. Regina's betrayal broke him, and now he's magically bound to her. I do like him however, or at least pity him.
