The Score in this scene really gives you chill of tears in addition to watching everyone in that scene have an emotional moments especially Regina. I started tearing up at 1:05 and the score just built up more tension toward the end of the scene and with a bit of Emma's theme added to it, it really is enough to make anyone tear up.

Hook too. He was never part of the curse and could have left if he wanted. I could understand Hook not wanting to get in the way of Bealfire and his son, but Bea wasn't leaving either. At least one of them could have stayed T-T

He would be swept up by it because he was born in the Enchanted Forest the only reason. Henry wouldn't be able to go is because he was "born in a land without magic".

Actually Regina, that's not true. It is their price too. It's Snow's, it's Charming's, it's Emma's, it's Henry's, and it's Neal's. Snow and Charming be with their daughter. Emma can't be with her parents. Henry can't be with his grandparents and father. And Neal can't be with his son.

METerrell Henry wasn’t born in Storybrooke. But his parents were, so when the curse was destroyed it sent everyone born in Storybrook back to the enchanted forest. But because Henry is technically not from the EF he will have to stay behind alone. He couldn’t stay behind all alone without his memories, he would end up in foster care or worst. So the only solution was that Emma would have to stay with him. Neal technically could but it would have changed too much. With Emma staying behind with Henry the only thing that would have changed was Emma keeping him.

@Colin Mahoney 100%ly agree. I remember waiting months for the next episode and then they just came up with a new curse. The writing became really bad. Suddenly the new villain (Zelena) is Regina's never mentioned sister (because the idea of adding her came just up). It's so stupid making her Regina's sister. Everything had to be connected: Ingrid was Emma's foster mom, Lily was Emma's best friend (we had that plot already with Neal, why again?), Hades loves Zelena, etc... So many plot holes came up since season 3B, for example the inventor of the curse. In seasons 1-3A it was said that Rumple created the curse. Later they change it into Rumple stole it with the help of the queens of darkness from a monster and then it was said that the black fairy was the inventor of the curse. It's so stupid writing. Rumple being the inventor, like they told us in the first two and a half seasons, made much more sense. He created the curse to find his son. In my opinion Hook and Emma don't have such a chemistry as Neal and Emma. They were way more emotional, at least to me. 1x01 - 2x16 perfect writing 2x17 - 3x11 still very good 3x12 - 3x22 it's okay 4x01 - 6x22 wtf... character developments always go back and forth, depending on the plot. Snow, Charming, Henry and a lot of other characters went from cool main characters to characters who just were there. If those three were quitting after season 3, the plot still would've be mostly the same. Because no one cared about snow and charming anymore after this writing. In season 1,2,3A Gold was never the main villain. He played for himself and he even helped the charmings if he gets something out of it. To emma he was more likely a mentor. Since season 3, especially 3B (but it already started on 3A) they've changed the theme, Regina and Gold switched roles. Before Regina was the enemy, later gold was the main enemy and Regina helped the charmings. I liked the former layout more that Gold helped if necessary and Regina was the villain. That happened ever since gold was revived. It feels like the writers didn't know what to do with Gold after he was resurrected from the dead.

"it's not our curse it's mine" when i rewatch this scene i can't help but think she is wrong,i mean i get why she think it's her curse but it's this others as well: Hook lose Emma,Bae just lose his father and now Emma and Henry as well, the Charmings lose their daughter and grandson, Belle just lost Rumple, Emma and Henry lose her evryone except from themself and forget about everything this Scene is so sad i can't wait for march

This would have been the perfect ending except Neal could have stayed since he wasn't affected by the 1st curse and gave Emma, Henry & Neal a chance to be a happy family. The 3 have suffered so much without fault of their own. Emma & Henry were both given up due to circumstances of their parents, Neal was abandoned. As much as I'd love to see Hook & Emma, he did partake in destroying Neal's family so let's say this is now the karma he has to pay. Those that must return to the enchanted forest should have their memories of Storybrooke wiped too so they can all restart, Charming & Snow get a 2nd chance to start a family without memories of Emma & Henry as that will forever sadden them, make Regina a Queen instead of evil Queen and let everyone love her. I truly enjoy S1-S3 only until this point. After that the writing is all over the place. Adding more & more characters that feel so forced. Unfortunately when a TV show is only focusing about prolonging for profit, that's the story you're getting. I was so annoyed when Hook showed up in NY. I just want Henry & Emma to be happy together forever. They so deserve it

Yeah but he wasn't born there. So, technically speaking, he doesn't "belong" there because he doesn't have a story there. He would have nothing to go back to. Think of it like DBZ. Remember why Goku and Krillin couldn't be wished back right away after Namek? Because since Namek died, they'd have no place to be wished "back" to? Same concept. Henry doesn't have a "tale" to live out from the Enchanted Forest. Neither does Emma for that matter. He has no place for the curse to put him in. If he had a Magic bean or something that could just transport him, it would be different. But Regina undoing the curse can't bring him because the curse didn't put him there to begin with

It almost ensures that it never gets broken, since it can’t be guaranteed that the original caster finds something else to love.

Perhaps with Hook it's because he entered our world through Storybrooke so if the curse never existed he could never have entered, which would also be why as a not originally cursed person he could come back. No explanation for Neal at this time. Perhaps because he wouldn't have come to Storybrooke if it had never existed, so his being there is an example of its existence? It doesn’t really work: what would is him having his memories replaced with Emma and Henry. Of course that would have made the Captain Swan ship harder to steer, which may explain why it was written the way it was.
