There's was no magic on our world, that's why you couldn't get there in a magical way. Once Rumple brought magic to storybroke than it was possible to travel there with any source of magic.

In this reality, the Evil Queen was never able to successfully cast the First Dark Curse and, as a result, was banished by Snow White and Prince Charming, who became king and queen and raised Emma as their daughter in the Enchanted Forest, where she still somehow gave birth to Henry under different circumstances - only he is a prince in this world. It is unknown if this reality's Evil Queen is very old or if she is now deceased, though it can be assumed that it is likely the former. It would have been interesting if Regina ran into the old version of the Evil Queen in this world, kind of disappointed that didn't happen tbh...
