I think that this should Always be something a man should do, no matter what. It's a sign of respect that the man knows that he wasn't the first to love her, she is somebody daughter. My husband asked my dad if he could date me but also his blessing to marry me, I heard that it was an easy yes, he loves my husband as a son even before we dated since I married my childhood Best friend and High school sweetheart.
