At the Grammy Museum last week, Quentin talked about his original plan for the Wrecking Crew scenes. He talked about Sharon having a great entrance in that movie(where she stumbles) and he originally wanted to film the leading up to that and show Sharon preparing for it and being nervous and nailing it and the entire crew applauding her. If you remember Danny Strong was announced as Dean Martin before. While it didn't sound like he filmed, either, it kind of give insight why there was a casting for Dean in the first place.
@DzaVideo5 жыл бұрын
@Just a Bruin Cool! I guessed if Tarantino was incorporating Dean Martin it would have been to recreate a scene from The Wrecking Crew. It sounds like the scene would serve a similar pupose to the cinema scene. Sharon is a little insecure but receives validation from an audience - albeit in the cinema as opposed to on the set. I'm sure I read somewhere that as Debra owns Sharon's Estate, she has to give her permission for footage of Sharon to be used. Perhaps Tarantino reaching out to her and her giving the project her blessing was the turning point which changed how dealt with the inclusion of The Wrecking Crew?

@@jdh6752 it is an extended Lancer scene. Julia Butters talk to Clifton Collins Jr. when a wagon pulls up. The Morricone horns start up and out steps Luke Perry in a sky blue suit and top hat. He dusts himself off in semi slo-mo and obviously caring about his "look." Then steps out Timothy Olyphant adjusting his look too. Julia Butters is excited and tells the Lancer brothers that she is their sister. The scene very much plays like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum a bit, showing the brothers a bit goofy. Tim Olyphant even asks Julia Butters "whooo are youuu" which I swear is a nod to Alice in Wonderland (Luke Perry looks like the Mad Hatter in his get-up). Clifton Collins Jr. (Acting like a human horse ) lifts Julia Butters and she starts giving the brothers advice.
