Sir i think you didn't get it.Margot Robbie played the character of famous actress of that time Sharon Tate who was also wife of famous director Roman Polanski. She was brutally murdered by hippies in 9 Aug 1969. But in movie this thing was twisted by taking two imaginary characters of Leo and Brad pitt. The movie is based on true events of hollywood happened between 5 to 9 August of 1969 with twisted ending and two imaginary characters of Leo and Brad pitt.

I think Tom Cruise would be really good in the movie (especially the fact that Cliff Booth is a stunt man and Cruise also he does his own stunts, so it would've be a funny to nod his real life career) with a slight different script and a different co-actor (his pair wouldn't be good with Leonardo DiCaprio) maybe Robert Downey Jr... I always imagine Tom Cruise working in a Tarantino movie, his performance in Jack Reacher proves that he can work in these kind of dialogue heavy movies

Hi, I knew you will speak-up for Bruce Lee. I totally agree with u. I didn't liked the way he was portrayed. Anyone who knew Bruce Lee will agree that he alone can defeat 10 Brad Pitts at a time. The way they have shown Bruce Lee as an arrogant guy was so objectionable. He was martial arts legend and he is no more. Hollywood could have given a good tribute to brucelee instead of this.

Yeh film ek real life incident hai jo kaafi logon ko pata nahi hai: Sharon Tate naam ki ek actress thi 60s ke Hollywood mein jo film mein Margot Robbie ne play kiya hai. 8th August 1969 ko unke ghar pe unhone kuch doston ko aur apne boyfriend Jay Sebring ko (jab shaadi ho chuki thi unki) bulaya tha. Tab hi aadhi raat ko jab 9th August ho chuki thi tab 4 bande, 1 ladka 3 ladkiyan, unke ghar pe ghus aaye the un logon ka khoon karne ke liye. Sharon tab 8 mahine pregnant thi, aur unko aur ghar mein baaki sab ko bohot hi berehem tareeke se maar diya gaya tha. Sharon ke gale pe unhone ek phanda baandh ke usko pehle latkaya aur jab unki saans chhootne lagi tab unke pet pe 16 baar chanku khopke maara tha. Baakiyon ko bhi kuch aise hi maara gaya tha. Is ghatne ka Mastermind Charles Manson naam ka ek aadmi tha jisne un chaaron ko bheja tha. Woh ek musician banna chahta tha aur Sharon ke pati Roman Polanski ke saath ek deal sign hone se mana ho gaya jiske wajah se usne yeh harkat karwayi,ya aisa hi kuch. Film mein baaki sab same hi tha, bas unhone Leonardo aur Brad ke fictional characters bana diye aur ending change kar di jisme woh log Sharon ka khoon karne ke bajaye in logon ke ghar jaate hain jahan Brad aur unki kutiya inki kutaayi karte hain aur us wajah se Sharon aur baaki sab bach jaate hain. Yeh Tarantino ne basically history ko change kiya jo woh pehle Inglourious Basterds aur probably Django Unchained mein bhi kar chuke hain, yeh dikhane ke liye ki asal mein jo hua woh na hoke aise hota toh kaisa hota. Iss ghatne ko waqt ke saath-saath duniya bhar mein zyaada logon ne yaad nahi rakha, jiske wajah se kaafi logon ko yeh baat pata bhi nahi hai, jiske wajah se mostly aisa hoyega ki jin logon ko yeh kahaani pehle hi pata thi woh movie badhiya enjoy karenge, jo mainly Americans hi honge, par jin logon ko nahi pata woh sochenge ki kya tha isme. Woh sab hata ke bhi agar aap isko ek film ki tarah dekho, yaani Direction, Acting, Cinematography aur Set Design dekho, toh yeh actually Tarantino ki taraf se ek bohot hi badhiya kaam hai.

Once upon a time in Hollywood",the penultimate Tarantino's work which I have been highly anticipating for past 2-3 year's got his release in India.And boy oh boy!I just loved it,as being a cinephile I have always loved Tarantino's work and his minute auteur techniques he comes up with everytime stands his mark in global Cinema.To commence,I will say that this is certainly not the best of Tarantino's work you will come across but but it doesn't mean it's the worst he has done.It had all the right elements to make the cinegoers stick to their seats and enjoy every bit of what Hollywood was going through the transition phase in late 60's.Coming on the actors part it was treat to watch Leo and Brad together in a movie,the camaraderie they share was absolutely enticing and a treat to the eyes. Leo played Rick Dalton who has passed his prime and starts doubting himself whether he could reinvent himself during the transitional phase Hollywood was going through.A pessimist,low self-esteem, emotional and extremely vulnerable Rick Dalton was all we adored for.On the contrary Brad as cliff booth was a stunt double for Rick Dalton and more of his shadow.His mysterious past, evenly temperament, whimsical and captivating persona kept us intrigued about booth.Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate was what I was looking for,but I was a bit disappointed,her character graph didn't had any hierarchy she was more of a eye pleaser to the viewer's and the tragedy with which she was struck with in real life was not on viewing (Tate murders...do Google it). Tarantino has a unique style of tweaking the history and provide with a absurd substitute situation which we as audience can never imagine and as always appreciated it.Even keeping in mind the unpredictability element I was ecstatic and was vouching for about the ending but it didn't went well, he had that build up before many scene's which could have flabbergasted many of us but failed to deliver. On the technical aspect the set designing was impeccable,really took us in 60's era and was soothing to the eyes.Screenplay on the work front was quite uncanny in a way,as it seemed sprinting sometime to the contrary of being dragged too.Editing speaks a lot about the volume of the movie which was almost about 3 hours long,which I think the editor has done wonderfully based on character establishment and emotional turmoil characters were going through the moment.Background score was terrific to keep in sync of what's going on. All in all a valiant effort by Tarantino to give us sigh of relief and a break from all cgi superheroes crap we are surrounded with these days.
