A man can only receive eternal life when he believes in the gospel of Christ . When one believes in the gospel ,he is saved and that’s what is referred to as Salvation, a free gift of God given to anyone who believes , by virtue of God’s grace. The common fact here is “believe,”so the man who believes in the gospel of Christ is saved from sin and death and by extension has eternal life which is the life of God. This eternal life doesn’t mean , you wouldn’t die physically, eternal life here means , you can never and ever be separated from God ,even if you ‘die’ thus you leave this earth , you will be found with God forever .

Not even an angel from Heaven...Read Jude 1: 5-6, Rev 3:4-5. The book of Revelation chapter 1 to 6 is written to warn the present world. If you don't work out your salvation with fear and trembling you will loose it. No preacher will save you on that day from the wrath of the Lord. The preacher will be busy defending himself

Pastor Otabil is wrong here, I think. Salvation by faith comes at the beginning of our conversion into Christianity but it doesn't end there. At the end, we will be judged according to our works as scripture clearly teaches.
