Tried the Bakers Brew ones n was addicted was going to improvise with pineapple tarts recipe but found this! Thank you for making this! It’s my fav! Have some minor issues though, hope you can help. I always end up with a lot more filling leftover. Tried wrapping more filling but it will spill out. Also find the filling doesn’t stick together so nicely like yours even after chilling it for days. Any advice? Overall it’s quite successful but I have to add more butter to the dough otherwise it’s a bit dry.

HI Heidi, thanks for sharing this awesome recipe. I'm facing the same problem as Happy Rainbow who posted this question. Any idea what my gula melaka filling is sticking onto my fingers and is very loose even after I put them in the fridge overnight? It's unlike yours. How much shredded coconut is needed? I pour in the whole packet. Thank you.

Followed exact ingredients n method but coconut couldnt form a ball and dough is so soft n breaks easily. Pls advise?

I followed the recipe but it couldn't form a ball too. Try drying out the coconut mixture a bit more in the saucepan, and keeping it a little longer in the fridge. It worked for me.

The dough issue can be solved by adding extra flour little by little till a consistency you are able to work with.
