Just tried the recipe 😍 love the dough texture, it’s similar to the one I had when I was in Melaka! My nyonya grandma would be proud.

Nyonya, Thank you so much for this authentic recipe! You used sayor manis, this is the original and is very good ,really; second, the liquid ratio and the flour ratio would mean the skin will not easily burst in the hot water. I like your channel and have subscribed, not for recipe only, but also the way you teach-so patient, accomodating and amicable, and I warmed up to you even though never met you before. (I used to very uncomfortable if I have to deal with some Malaccans ... haha) . Kudos to you and nice to know you! My wishlist only if you could cook in this channel: 1. Perot ikan; 2. Acah hu/chye; 3. Pai tee; 4. ju hu char 5. inche keh 6. kari kiam hu kut 7. hu pow(otah2) 8. bee tai bak 9. seray kaya(with ginger) Thank you so much for your tips and other sharing, especially the way to prepare kangkong vege, the way to goreng garing ground ingredients and also on Melaka kuay (i never knew kuay genggang and kuay lapis are same until Nyonya shared in this channel)

Oh I didn't know that malaka users puchok manis for colouring. In Spore. and Indonesia we use pandan and pandan serani. Correct me if I'm wrong. I must try to do the malaka version

Is the ondeh ondeh skin rubbery or you call it Ke-nyal? Looking at the video the skin you make look very thick. If skin is thin will the ondeh ondeh crack? I tried many ondeh ondeh recipes skin is so thick and not ke-nayal Ke-nyal it’s nice. Please respond my questions. Thank you
@nyonyamelakaflavours33162 жыл бұрын
Hi, everytime when i did it its kenyal. If the skin is too thin it might rupture/burst during boiling ya. Tq for watching & supporting the channel!

Hai.....its my first time to see you use sayur manis. Can you tell me more about that.. I love to try..& never miss watching...tq
@nyonyamelakaflavours33163 жыл бұрын
Hi Celine, sayur manis is used to enchance the green color to a darker nicer green & using pandan alone wont give that nice dark green texture. Tqvm for watching.

Hello Auntie! I tried making Ondeh-Ondeh, but my dough is always too soft, very sticky and doesn’t hold its own shape, if I hold on one hand, it will slowly flow out of my hand. How long (no.of minutes?) does one need to knead the dough until it achieves the shape and texture seen in this video? Auntie can you advise?
@vister6757 Жыл бұрын
Add less pandan juice as the sweet potatoes may be too wet. Always add less water then add 1 tbsp more little by little until you get the texture like in the video.

@@nyonyamelakaflavours3316 I beg to differ...To me 17:06 mins is worth it to be spent to learn some recipe completely. Some youtubers spend 30 mins to teach even a simple recipe. Tq Nyonya for the effort.
