This was a project with Erin Wood and his girlfriend. Not sure who else was in the band. There was another Spits offshoot called Total and the Spits track, Take Pleasure in Someone Else's Pain, was originally a Total song. But apparently Total never came to be. I used to listed to Spider while working on a cruise ship in 2007. Everyone who I played it for hated it because it didn't sound like whatever nu rock or pop was on the radio back then. Spider always reminded me of a Manson revival family or something murderous.

I've heard the Spits refered to as the worst band in the world by more than a few stupid people, who usually listen to the most saccharine bullshit. I think they are brilliant, the Ramones and Devo crossed into one great band.
