But the things is, he at least wants to die by his own choice and not put another burden on Kazutora, so he kills himself. And it became an outcome Mikey had no choice but to accept since it's how his best friend wanted to go down. It was a sacrifice for both Kazutora and Mikey. If you actually think about it, the original timeline of Tokyo revengers is pretty dark. Takemitchy was basically just getting beaten up and losing his self worth while all this was going down. Kisaki literally plotted for the death of Draken, Baji, and Kazutora, got Pah-Chin in prison and took control over the gang and led Mikey to even darker path in the original timeline. Crazy part is we still don’t know what his main motive is and why’s he doing it.

There was a part in the last episode when baji got stabbed that takemitchi moved baji a bit out the way, but the scene didn’t last for that long so not everyone would’ve caught it. Which is why baji was able to get up for a brief second and with the last of his strength stabbed himself relieving Kazutora that he didn’t die by his hands but by his own.

This is a long one but some things needs to be clarified: Takemicchi did everything "right", even his non action. 1. In the original time-line, Baji dies before even fighting the 50 guys. Takemicchi shoulder tackle altered the events and gave Baji more time 2. The stab was still lethal regardless. Baji couldn't be saved after he decided to fight 50 on his own. Takemicchi didn't know it was Kazutora who killed Baji. 3. The ambulance was called beginning of the episode. 4. Mikey was not listening to anyone. Not even Draken. Even at the end, Takemicchi words have no incidence. The charm does. 5. If Takemicchi intervened when you wanted, he would have gotten the same kick Hanma got. And the event would have been the same as in the original time-line. 6. Checking for the stab wound achieves nothing. Baji would have proceeded to do what he wanted and KOed Takemicchi. Chifuyu unable to lift a finger. 7. Takemicchi thought Baji died. His infos are that if Baji dies, Mikey kills. When Baji fell down at the beginning of the episode, he thought that the mission had failed based on that information. All in all, people expect Takemicchi to act like an actual shonen hero. This is a furyo. A much more realistic take when it comes to people reactions etc. Takemicchi is beaten up physically, exhausted physically and mentally, has trauma from seeing his girlfriend and best friend dying multiple times and thinks the person he tried so hard to save died which means that the future he knows is set in stone... yet people expect him to move forward? Most people can barely function with lesser traumas let alone fight for the sake of other people.. or fight.. or even show up

Baji may have died but Mikeys light didn't and that is what is going to save Hina, Akkun, Draken and Toman in the future. So that's why I guess he got freezed and didn't know what to do. Btw let's bear in mind that no one of the captains has got the power to stop Mikey because they know they can't, so how in the world Takemichi had got the gut to try, Mikey was about to get him in the loop with Kazu until he saw that Baji's charm and then he stopped because of that but not Takemichi. You guys should react to the live action i swear it's crazy. In this episode it feels like an anime but in the live action, this bloody halloween fight feels more realistic and deeper than the anime. It feels more lively. The sadness feel so real for everyone, for mikey, draken, takemichi, chifuyu and even kazutora. It just so sadd, and they make everything more clear so the emotional message hit harder than the anime. Also they nailed the action scene! Mikey, draken, mitsuya, chifuyu, especially live action mikey's acting is so badass!!
