I am interested in Basque axes also...What weight axe did Bushcraft Spain choose for you? Thanks

Hey man... Thx. And they suggested a 1500 grams axe... For my work in the woods it's perfect

@@ThomasMartzak Awesome...thank you for the quick reply...A few days ago I ordered the 1250 axe from them and it is on the way..I should get it in a week or so....I didn't know if I had ordered one too big or too small...I had no idea and just picked one. :) I think the 1250 will be just fine, after seeing yours. Thanks a bunch! keep up the good work.

I think the difference is where you are going to use it. For a camp, 1.5 up is fine. To carry in the backpack, between 500 gr and 1 kg is fine ...

I have the same axe only in the pruning version (slightly smaller than yours) and I find it splits the small logs with ease.

It's a very versatile tool for sure

Hi amazing video man, just a little tip when bucking on a fallen tree, it really helps to make a knotch in the tree, so when you hit the thing you're bucking it stays still. (:

Was that the 1kg version or the 1,25kg version? What would you advise for an all around pack axe and why?
@ViktorSuhov Жыл бұрын
I've got a 1.25 kg version with curved bit and a 60 cm beech handle, very good all-around axe and stays sharp long!

Aye, did you see wrangle clown chopping through a chain with one of those basque axes? Ive not witnessed that level of disrespect very often.

I love my Hachas Jauregui 800 gram axe and would have already purchased a heavier version except ever since the lockdown garbage they seem to have vanished from any market I have access to. Amazing axes!

Thank you for checking. When I spoke to them (awesome people) they recommended a 2000gm axe for me. I’m 6’2” with extremely long arms and can fortunate still swing an axe very hard. They recommended that weight for me for all around. I’m anxious to hear what your axe is. Thank you

You ask this axe to do a job for which it is not done: to cut very dry dead wood . So it does the job very well! Great job!
