The two bar builds are superior in damage but harder to use. Honestly I would test out both versions and go with the one you like more.

Essence Thief is a good set, but chasing the essence sometimes leads to deaths, at least in my experience. But give it a go and see how you like it

@@Alcasthq yeah but not at all your one bar builds. I think that is one of the things you should add to the builder. When you search for a build you always check the possible dmg output. Is it "good or bad". Thump nail on KZbin for example. When someone add a build to your website, he should need to give that build a screen shot with the dmg output for verification and a fat number with the dmg should be shown in the front, before some one click on that build.

These relatively high dps one bar builds, courtesy of alcast and the oakensoul ring, are in my opinion a casual players dream come true. I wonder how hard they'll nerf the oakensoul ring next patch.

It’s not a great as you’d think. You could push a bit more brought damage in trials with two bars cause you’ll get these buffs regardless. Where it really shines is solo content or if you want an easy/noob friendly build. Personally I use one bar so I can use no brain cells in general game, but I switch to two bar mag in group content

I disagree with pillar of nirn, it's good on a target dummy that doesn't move around, but not good on actual bosses and mobs that move, the proc will miss on occassion and that's damage your missing out on. I stuck with tzogvin for the other set.

Why do you go for a lopsided stamina, instead of balancing your character between magika-stamina?? I find balancing your front-bar with 2 magicka abilities and 3 stamina abilities woven brilliantly is much more effective. This allows you to recover resources and avoid the dreaded "resource depleted" clicks... leading to "clunky combat..." comments...

You can do that if you want. But with this setup you should never run out of resources anyway.

Thank you for your one bar builds, Alcast. My main character is still the One Bar Magicka Sorcerer Build for ESO - Maelstrom & Vateshran that you put together a long time ago and that you still update. I added the second bar over time, but I'm older, have some arthritis, and play on console, so the one bar builds are greatly appreciated! I originally used the build to beat Maelstrom Arena and never looked back. With minor modifications, I do veteran dungeons with my grown sons and it's great. And I think they use your builds, too!

Is there anything I can replace barbed trap with since oakensoul gives minor force already? Preferably something I dont need to use often, a utility of sorts maybe like Ambush for a gap closer or like a defensive or some sort? How much dps loss is not having barbed trap DoT?

Got bored and decided to farm this. Took 2 hours and holy shit is it OP and easy. This will be nerfed for sure. It makes me appreciate the depth of the normal combat with 2 bars and light attack weaving. This is honestly boring as shit to play. Hit a dot every 15 seconds and spam one ability.

the 6.5k Weapon damage is with the raid target dummy buffs active. Do you have weapon damage glyphs on your jewelry? Are your weapons legendary quality? Legendary has higher Weapon dmg than Epic quality
