Hello Mr Dowding, it's the blue cocktail girl here. Maybe after all these years you don't need reassurance that your videos are life changing but in case they still make you smile here's one more. I have a slope of heavy clay under my olives in Le Marche, Italy. I had almost given up on it ever producing enough to feed 4 kids but then following your videos I set up 4 twenty metre raised beds of cardboard/straw/compost etc and built a huge compost box. A year later I have not had to buy ANY vegetables all winter and I am giving surplus away to the neighbours. All 4 are in full growth for spring or in production and the compost is nearly ready. I work on the land for other people all day so I have very little time for myself which is what makes it so perfect as it is very little work compared to the old way. THANKYOU. You have restored land and dreams all in one. Jo.

I've started growing my own garden beds this year following your methods. I've got all your books as reference. The information you give is just invaluable. I must say I live in an area where not many people are growing vegetables. Those who do, use the older methods of digging the soil, leave everything spaced out and use as much synthetic fertilizer as possible. I still have trouble finding out what to plant when, which crop could follow another, but I'll get there. There's always next year. Too bad the old-school gardeners around me consider me "the weirdo". I'll be toasting to you, Mr Dowding, when my first harvests will be a fact. Thank you so much!

Charles, you are such an inspiration! I always feel so empowered after watching your videos! One thing that you have taught me is that what you get out of the garden may not look as massive as what you see at the grocery store (the multi-sown leeks for example), and that is ok, it is more delicious and I can plant more in the same space and end up with more food that way!

Planting multisown vegetables, such as beet or leeks, is one of the many things i have learnt from you. So much more food from whatever size plot you have. May not end up with whopper leeks but when you can get twice as much, who cares! Also, not strictly sticking to the myth of rotation each year. This is a relief to me and many people who may panic about what can grow after each harvest. Your videos are truly brilliant. Appreciate the hard work you put in. Thanks!

As I only need a few of each plant I raise them on my kitchen window-sill. I've spent a fortune on gardening books always hoping each would be the one that would make all clear... but each author contradicted the one before. I love listening to Alan Titchmarsh and he talks sense. However, in my kitchen garden I just muddle through. Now I really believe I could have success with your method so I am excited and hopeful and a bonus is that while I am watching and learning I am not stressing about the virus or the isolation and loneliness it has brought. Thank you Charles ❤️ God bless and keep you your family safe, from Ireland.

Thank you Charles 😊. Great video of rotational cropping. I let my chard go to seed. It turned into a tall trifod like stalk. I left it to overwinter as it still provided picking leaves. The flowering stems then turned into plantlets. Miniature, perfect plants with no roots that can be harvested to eat. Spring came and these plantlets growing strong. I will try some planted in ground but this certainly has been a great provider 🤗. Pays to be a lazy gardener 👍.

Charles, I just LOVE your enthusiasm! The earth is a living organism and is generous in giving all its resources to the life upon it. even when suffering deprivation. I love to see your relationship with the earth, from whence we all come, and the joy it gives you to plant, care for, and harvest what it gives. Of course when we're thankful at the table from Whom our food really comes from, it is from the Creator, who shows us who He is by what He has created as an environment for all of us to live in. More than a car, house, and "things" nothing gives more joy than to taste the food we grow! You cannot BUY that experience in a store. You're tremendously inspiring, Charles!

I have loved this video. The key message seems to be to keep sowing seed in modules, so that there’s always something to pop into the ground as it comes free. Your methods have transformed our vegetable growing, so thank you.

You give such great information it makes my heart soar. I am having my hubs build me 4 beds that will be 18"-20" tall x 3' x14-16' to allow me to garden with disabilities and you have helped me see just how much I can harvest from them using your methods. I am going to use a modified hugelkulture for the base topped with compost. Thank you! I am almost looking forward to my hip replacement so I can get started.

I'm getting 28" high beds setup this spring to help with my disabilities and planning on using huggleculture (sp?) too! It is nice to hear I'm not alone in trying to adjust and still do things I enjoy. I may struggle to find enough logs and branches to fill that deep of a bed though 😅

I work 3weeks on a ship, then have three weeks at home, and that's my rotation. Back in early may I started a covid slash victory garden, and have been adding to it, and having mini harvests, every time I go home. While everytime I go to work I'm able to find wonderful presenters on KZbin, to aid and further my gardening education . So glad I found your wonderful channel, thank you so much for all of the lessons and knowledge, you've been offering. This is my first year gardening, already I've done so well, and next year will be so much the better for having found your channel. Cheers

Charles, thank you for all the wonderful information. Out of the many many things I've learned from you, I think the most valuable has been to always be starting seedlings and have some on hand, so that no space in the garden goes to waste. Your greenhouse seems like it's always working with new and ready to plant starters.

What a fantastic video and has given me lots of ideas with your wonderful vision and demonstration of successful succession planting. I only have the space in the garden for a small raised bed and a few pots and love to be out with my children tending to it so this video will help keep us busy throughout spring and summer. Thank you and keep up the great work
