I get hate mail calling me a liar when I show these places from Expats in Cebu and Subic and Dumaguete who pay $200-700 for Apartments there. These people need to step out a little more. It’s embarrassing when I receive email from fellow expats that are like that. Lol. I keep telling people the prices are very low but you gotta put your feet on the ground and look. Thanks for sharing.

@@MrSteven5975 I used to live in Cebu and paid more for less. I thank God I moved here to South Luzon. Especially during these times. I had some kind locals help me find my place and I happily signed a two-year contract. I dont want or need a better deal than this. And here there is so much more freedom during these trying times. I can travel from San Pablo City to Manila or Batangas hassle-free. It really pays to take time to look around when choosing a place to live here. I initially learned that the hard way.

Hi fr overtaxed NYC metro area...Litchfield County, Connecticut, USA, yes some ppL choose to have a very long lease & build a nipa hut (modern version for $00 to $1,200) or build a house with their Filipina wife w/ land in her name... most expats lease.. no head aches & houses a plenty .... esp now.... most locals would rather rent to a foreigner anyways....GET A RECEIPT FOR THE DEPOSIT WITH COMPLETE ITEMIZED ITEMS WRITTEN...

The dogs here will bark at strangers but not at those they see coming and going regularly. At night they will bark at flash lights swaying back and forth while walking no matter who it is. Loud music is the bigger concern. When I bought land in my partner's name back in 2013 it was much quieter than now. The difference is that the houses near me have hooked up to electricity since then. Now it is very noisy due to just 3 houses out of about 25 that just blast their music full volume. Noisy people here seem to have more rights than quiet people.

Apparently the dog doesn’t like you more than you dont like him. You are stranger in his turf so you should be the one to adjust. Saying hi or showing a simple kind gesture will stop him from barking at you. Dogs can sense if a person adores or dislike them. Good Vibes is what you need when around dogs/cats and any other pets. Nice apartment though for $100 bucks.
