Thx for the nice video. In two weeks time I'll be taking the same route from St JPdP to Santiago. Did you follow exactly the Camino hiking route? Or do you have to avoid certain steep rocky parts of the route?

i have the same question we are planning our first camino this year Sept via SJPP, there is supposed to be a low elevation route as you head out of SJPD, the Pyrenees makes me anxious, I wonder if the low elevation is a way to avoid the mountain as we will be taking our bike too , just book our plane tikect today .

The hiking path is not suited for biking. Maybe for very fit MTB riders without luggage. I had to return and took the mainroad. D933/N135. This was also a very steep and long climb. Especially because it was my first day on the bike and the first mountain I ever cycled in my entire life🥵 This is also the toughest day of the whole Camino. The last days in Galicia were also very steep. I wish you lots af succes and have a "Buon Camino"🙏@@cecillenadela3752

Hi, we also want to do the Camino de santiago on bicycles. May I ask : * Did you hire your bikes & bags? * Did you have difficulties at Albergues/hostels to store bikes overnight? * When going into stores/restaurants, how did you secure your bags & bikes? Yolanda from South Africa

Hi Yolanda. We rented everything through Bicigrino. The bikes came with bags and locks. Finding albergues that take bikes is not too difficult but requires some work. Make sure you have a reservation on each Albergue. It becomes easier if you rent your own room (since the bike can be store in your room) rather than the dorm style rooms. Stores and restaurants are not a big issue. Normally a quick stop doesn’t require to lock the bike (too many peregrinos around). During overnight stops, bike stays in the albergue.

How was the e-bike to climb the Pyrenees?
@alvaroe162 жыл бұрын
Quite challenging because of the gravel and the weight of the bags.

Can you tell me what app you used to get those nice routing graphics?

Route videos were created using Relive and Ayvri
