This is happening to me right now in college. I’m charged with writing essays about things I don’t believe in. Praying for wisdom, love, and courage

I went through that. Was told I am a good writer but I needed to stop arguing against every concept. I took my C. Moved on.

We are not going to change the world, we must separate ourselves from the world, our home is a heavenly one. The world is destined to be destroyed and only then can our world be made to live on for eternity. Praise God.

I used to think that too. That is actually not what Jesus or the disciples taught

You might be as surprised as I was when I learned what the authors of the Bible taught verses what influences Platonism and Dualism have had on our faith. This video is a good way to illustrate the differences. God bless you brother on your faith journey.

Western Christianity has gradually adopted a combo of teachings that have distorted the gospel. We are meant to change the world. God’s kingdom will be on Earth as it is in Heaven. Humanity will be reconciled to God and work alongside God in the new creation. The idea that our soul is the real us and the body is not us, comes from Plato, not Jesus. Jesus is not our ticket out of here. How would He establish the new Jerusalem on a pile of ashes? His death and resurrection inaugurated the new creation and we get to take part in the process. The video also does a great job at explaining what Christ meant when he taught about Gehenna (hell).

God's plan according to the Bible is to redeem the world... Not to destroy it and bring us to heaven, but to bring heaven to earth through Jesus! That's why Jesus has us pray, "may your Kingdom come...on earth as it is in heaven". ⛪
