hi, i know this comment is so late for this video, but i just wanna ask if i can use the splitter in the 1:13 clip for my pressurized co2? thanks
@TheWaterBox3 жыл бұрын
For pressurized, it should. But you can't control the psi going out of each outlet so you won't have control on each output and it'll give you odd results. And you have to make sure the fitting can handing the pressure you're pushing into the line.

I do not know if you still mannage comments on this co2 splitter issue. I have tried several splitters, but none are precise adjustable, the all shit and you cant adjust the bobles. Do you have an advice for wich suplier/brand to use ? For an 4 splitter.

I have a CO2 generator system with the heavy tank to mix the chemicals in. I can't figure out where to attach the splitter if I am using a solenoid. Will I need to get another solenoid to go with bubble counter so I can also use a timer on 2nd tank, etc.?
@TheWaterBox3 жыл бұрын
Is this one of those DIY mix generators that produces it's own pressure through the mixture? I wouldn't split a set up like that.

Thanks; right to the point and exactly what I needed to know. So, i guess a co2 generator(citric acid/baking soda) bottle may not work; I may have to purchase the more expensive presdurized co2??
@TheWaterBox3 жыл бұрын
Glad it helped. The problem is that the pressure is inconsistent. Of course, there's nothing to say you can't try to split it between different tanks at the same time but it won't last too long and it'll be a little inconsistent, especially towards the end of the cycle mix.
@Dom_Rick Жыл бұрын
He is not talking about a co2 generator. He is talking about DIY co2 with yeast. The generators are pressurized and have needle valves. They do work with co2 splitters.

@Dom_Rick is this true can i split co2 reactor to multiple tanks?

Informative video... I didn't know C02 splitters existed. Would a medium planted, 75-gallon tank benefit from two diffusers? I have a HOB filter with a sponge at the output which calms the water flow, so I've always been curious if the diffused C02 gets circulated around the tank. I have noticed the plants closer to the diffuser are slightly healthier and have always wondered if it is the C02 distribution or some other variable. Thanks.
@TheWaterBox4 жыл бұрын
It would though I would probably just put in a wavemaker/weak pump to help circulate the water flow.

I have about 7 tanks I want to use c02 on. Any suggestions on where I can get a splitter/manifold for them?
@TheWaterBox3 жыл бұрын
Ebay. Just search for co2 splitter. I'm not sure if you'll be able to split up to 7 tanks. I think the most I saw was 6 ways.

I don’t have a regulator to automatically turn on or turn off the co2 (yet). But I was wondering does it affect the tank if it goes a couple of days without co2 and a couple of days with it on? I work a rotating 12 hour a day schedule so I can’t turn it on in the morning and off when I get home or it would be going a lot longer than my lights are set for.

I guess what I’m asking are my plants gonna wither away if they don’t get the co2 daily?
@BFMC169DeadBroke4 жыл бұрын
Or will they just slow their growth.

I be been turning the co2 on an hour before the lights and off an hour before the lights go out on my days off and the days I work they just don’t get co2.

CO2art or don't waste time and money and just get a GLA regulator? Trying to get as many opinions as I can before I pull the trigger
@TheWaterBox4 жыл бұрын
What? I'm not sure what you're asking. Co2Art makes good regulators but i tend to buy cheap ones on ebay/amazon and they still work well for me. If you have to budget and get something nice, Co2Arts or GLA are great. It's nicely built and will do you well. You take your chances with cheaper stuff. You're basically rolling your dice with quality control.
@brianklimaszewski4 жыл бұрын
@@TheWaterBox okay thanks! Yeah I was just wondering if you would recommend CO2art or if I should just get a GLA since I've never heard or seen anything bad about them, but a dual stage is more than what I would like to spend. I am not one to gamble when I can just spend more to make sure my fish are always safe.
@TheWaterBox4 жыл бұрын
Either Co2Arts or GLA will work great. Single or Dual still doesn't prevent you from a co2 dump. It can happen though probably more of a chance with a single stage. You'll have a better control of pressure at the end stage of an empty tank with a dual stage. I would always suggest worrying more about keeping a spare filled tank around so you can swap it out before it even get to completely empty. Yeh, it "wastes" co2 but not much and worth the waste to prevent any accidents. Keeping another tank around also helps as back up cause things can happens with the other tank for whatever reason and you don't have to worry about running out.
@brianklimaszewski4 жыл бұрын
@@TheWaterBox Thanks for the info I guess I didn't know a dual would still give you a CO2 dump, so that's good to know and watch out for if the tank gets that low.
@TheWaterBox4 жыл бұрын
It can. It's just harder for it to happen. Gotta remember, it's equipment, things can go wrong with equipment. Even if your regulator will never dump, there's chances the solenoid would break and not shut off or the time won't work to turn off the co2... etc. You'll always have that chance. But yeh, go with dual if you want a better chance to help prevent possible dumps and stick with a known name company for better quality stuff.
