Am leaning towards acrylic and dealing with scratches for the longevity of the tank but why is their not a hybrid with both like an acrylic tank Incased in glass if this was a option you could have all the benefits of acrylic along with the scratch resistants of the glass just a thought 💭

How about when you don’t buy it online? I got mine at an actual fish shop, but the internet has me nervous now🥲

Tried the dobie sponge over the magnet this week game changer for cleaning acrylic. Id say over 75 gallon id lean towards acrylic. I do have a 150T glass and its hard to move but got it at a good price. In the process of Replacing my 30 year old acrylic 180 with a custom ordered acrylic 270 gallon.

I don't know about exploding but the over pressure valve on my cheap DIY system failed and nearly suffocated my fish. Luckily I noticed with minutes to spare. I'll never use one of those again.

There is nothing wrong with how you teach! In fact, i have been struggling to get info on LED lighting for planted aquariums. Your channel finally gave me the answers! After watching many other channels without any proper info! Keep on giving us this high standard

I just bought some of this for the first time, went looking for regular flourish while i wait for my good stuff to come in the mail but they didn't have any. decided to give this a try and the new tank setup i did ( I have plants in other tanks established, just moved them with fresh fluval stratum, and the new plants i bought are doing fine in the other 40 gallon tank still ) started to melt within a week of using excel once. crypts and javaferns. i've never seen a javafern melt before. Could just be because everything got moved, and the tank doesn't have great lighting ( yet ) but i've done this before exactly the same minus the excel and i had basically no melting at all, now my plants are melting completely to the root, though to be fair those ones are quite small but still. but as i said, larger portions of the same new crypts are normal in the other tank, granted it has better lighting. snails are having a field day in my 5 gallon lol I'm seeing a lot of melt on my new red root floaters too in my 26 gallon ( older plants seem normal? ) but i'm also seeing quite a bit of green regrowth on them too so who knows.

Thank you for the video, I’ve done DSM a week ago and it seems like some of my plants are browning. I have light on about 10 hours a day, I water them once in the morning and once at night, I have saran wrap covering the tank, feels humid when I put my hand inside the tank to give them a little air for 5 to 10 minutes. What am I missing that’s causing some of my clumps of plants to start browning?

For this kind of setup, I think ISTA is better and cheaper than this fluval 20g. It comes with an insect repellent or aerosol paint can and you only need to push it to fill up the co2 chamber

Echinodorus Hormanii, Looks like really really big Jungle Val, it also can grow big rhizomes that will make daughter plants. Needs a big tank mostly to itself, the other nice thing about them is they're rather tolerant of cool conditions being from Southern Uruguay and Northern Argentina so they would be good in a cool-water tank for Goldfish.
