I watched this with my family when I was a kid. People forget how revolutionary this was for the 1970s. Shows about a divorced single mom raising two kids and being a career woman just were not on the air. Plus it had a great cast of characters.

Late adolescent here: I wasn’t alive back then, but watching each of Norman Lear’s shows has really opened my eyes on what it was like to grow up in the 70s. Watching these shows showed me how lucky I am to live in this generation and to have the things that I do have.

The opening credits of this season were so cool with the shots of Indianapolis, but they had to remove it to add Michael Lembeck. It became like a scrapbook. He really did a pretty good job on this show.

Bonnie Gail Franklin (the mom) was such a pert little redhead. Old enough to be my mother, but completely had my attention in 1975.

Seems to be this shows equivalent of: "Stifle!", "God will get you for that.", and, "DY NO MITE!". I guess all Norman Lear shows needed a catch phrase.
