The roads are great here, and all the trails in the national parks are signed and well-maintained. They say you might not see much without a guide, but we found that we saw everything we wanted to! The roads are very safe, but it helps to rent a 4x4! We had a little Rav4 we rented for the entirety of the trip for about £16/day.
