I came here for tips on how to repaint one of these I got on clearance - looks pretty straightforward but I have a question: Do you need to do anything special regarding the area where there are speaker holes on the one side? I wasn’t sure if spraying the paint over that would interfere with any of the electronics inside or what not. Thanks for the detailed how-to!

@@brackettw if you are comfortable with it, I would suggest disassembling the blaster all together to avoid painting any electronics. That being said, if you are not willing to do that you could simply just be extra careful around that area. If you are spray painting, try spraying at an angle so that the path of the paint doesn’t go directly into the speaker holes

@@thecreativeinfantry i hope so too...right now, im struggeling with the right colors...my metallic colors are more glittering rather than having a Metal look...Here in Germany metallic seems to be different...😅

Love the tutorial! It looks not as complicated, as I thought it would be. I will definitely give it a try, since I got my hands on a slightly defective Mando rifle yesterday. What spray varnish did you use?

I like to use rustoleum spray cans! I generally prefer the satin finishes

Marvelous work! I'm going to do it myself and therefore I have a question. Do I need to varnish the surface at the end of the work
@thecreativeinfantry Жыл бұрын
Not 100% required but a light clear coat is typically recommended

Is there anything u used for the tip of the gun for the paint to stick better ??
@thecreativeinfantry Жыл бұрын
Unless I say otherwise, any type of paint job can use some sort of primer before painting. I think I used Plastidip as a base. Plastidip is a rubber spray so it is flexible

hey i wanted to ask if by any chance there would be a way to remove paint because I think I unfortunetly added to much black spray paint
@thecreativeinfantry Жыл бұрын
Oh no! Sorry to hear. You can try using sandpaper to gently remove paint. You’ll have to experiment with your grit count, but definitely try not to use overly course sandpaper
