Thanks for taking us to Busan with you, Syifa and Dave - another great travel vlog. Although we didn't go to Busan you stirred up memories about the food from our visit to Korea in May 2024. Coffee - cinnamon sprinkled on a cappuccino instead of chocolate is an acquired taste! Beef broth - with the meat still on the bone! Rice - served separately in metal containers with lids! And cutting food with large scissors! Also the colourful houses and alleys in Gamcheon Culture Village look a little like the favelas of Rio de Janeiro.

Aubrey, thank you so much! I can imagine the meat still on the bone mustve been so yum as they often have got tender meat! Hahaha yes the rice in metal containers with lids, and the chopsticks!! The chopsticks are so difficult to handle with my not so great techniques LOL. I know, cutting food with large scissors are great ideas I think, I wish it can be applied elsewhere 😂😂😂 Thanks for your comment, Aubrey!

My hometown is Busan(The word Busan means that there are many mountains.). Among many local cities in Korea, One of the most loved cities is Busan. First of all, it has the ocean. Korea has the ocean in all three directions, but the southern sea is the most beautiful. And Busan is the only city that survived the war. Busan is the city that accepted all the refugees and gave them a place to live together in a crisis where they had no choice but to lose the war. "Combination" is important for Korean food. Mixing rice and side dishes, dishes and sauces, food and beverages, and the combination should be excellent. A typical combination is drinking chicken and beer together. There is still a lot of pain in Busan, a city that had to survive through history and war that was invaded by many countries.
@SyifaAdriana7 ай бұрын

@@SyifaAdriana It is simple to make, but there are many different styles tuna/spam/ mackerel/ tofu/ pork, etc. There are even restaurants that specialize in kimchi jigae and take the broth to a new level and complexity. I am always surprised how many non-Koreans enjoy this dish. Cabbage kimchi is too strong for some, but when you cook with kimchi (always aged) it is far more mellow.
