Sadly, I wasn't at home watching these two matches on TV on 14 July. I was on a plane going somewhere and the plane took off at right about the time the super over started. Because there was no internet connection in the air, nobody knew who had won. Everbody in the plane was talking about two things: The World Cup Final and the Wimbledon Final. People were predicting what could have happened. A man in the row in front of mine declared that if both Federer and England won, he would treat everybody on the plane to an ice cream when it landed. About 40 minutes into the flight, the pilot himself announced on the mic or whatever that he had an important announcement to make. Everybody thought there was a problem with the plane and people started to panic and look at each other. And then the pilot said: "After I make the announcement, I request everybody to please stay calm." Now I was starting to worry. The tension in the room was so thick. Everybody was dead silent. And then he said: "In the World Cup final, England have won the super over. In the Wimbledon final, Novak Djokovic has won the fifth-set tiebreak." And everbody exploded. People were jumping out of their seats and screaming. Others were laughing. I was with my family and we were all so excited and happy, even though we were all supporting Federer and New Zealand. It was one of the best moments of my life.

I remember that when the cricket match went to the super over and the tennis match went to a big rally I watched a ball in cricket then tuned in to the tennis match and then after a minute tuned to cricket this went on until the last ball of the match and then the runout drama begin and I begin watching the cricket for 5 minutes and after then I tuned to tennis only to see Djokovic winning the match that feeling was so unbelievable that so many drama went on that moment. Not to even mention an exciting silverstone gp where Hamilton’s 7th win made him the out and out all time silverstone winner 👍🏻 I remember being in my local pub where I found the best seat. One tv showing the Wimbledon final, one tv showing the cricket final and a charger nearby so I could plug in my phone and watch the silverstone gp. Still one of the greatest days of the summer. That Sunday has got to be one of the best day in British history in terms of sports where it all came together. Wimbledon, F1 and the Cricket World Cup. And after it was all said and done, the fans won 🙌🏻
