I have found the same when traveling, some places are almost impossible to walk in. The talk of Soviet style sounds like how Ben Rich of the Bald and Bankrupt channel puts it. There was some nice artwork in the gallery.

Some impressive Russian-era mosaics, you may even have scooped Bald & Bankrupt as I don't remember him showing those off in one of his videos. Also impressive art museum and, though I am loath to admit it, I even glimpsed a few pieces of modern painting that I quite liked.
