This album, Midnight Memories, is where they really started joining in with the writing. And that is just Zayn’s personality, he’s more reserved, which is fine to be true to who you are. If he wasn’t, people would call him out for being fake.

Yes, the gang chorus power chords in this song were an homage to Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar on Me. It was 100% intentional.

I only caught up with 1D about 4 years ago and it was quite evident that they had a team of the best song writers right from the beginning, I'm old school and like to buy hard copies that way you get all the info on the writers, producers, the lads only really started to use their own songs on the last 2 albums, both Harry and Liam have said they wouldn't have wanted it any other way, they needed professional writers, after all they were only 16/17 year olds, for me Made In The AM is their best album.

MM had a lot of theirs music's as well, Louis wrote the majority of it with Liam. So firsts two albums were written for them, but third, forth and fifth were written majority by the boys.

First 2 albums they were credited on a few songs on both albums, but it was from the 3rd album at least one or more of the 1D members were credited has co writers for 80%+ of the tracks on last 3 albums

Well what they’ve said is that obviously when they got out of xfactor they were 16-18 yo so they didn’t know how to write and didn’t have time to get involved w that… on their 2nd album they wrote on particular songs and then on the 3rd, 4th and 5th they wrote most of the songs on the road during tour. They were treated like a money machine, but they did/do have a lot of talent w songwriting.

that was the case for their earilier ablums. Another thing to note is that niall and louis werent included in the music as much. Zayn, harry and liam were the main voices on the songs with niall or louis in the chorus or a verse sometimes. Zayns high notes kinda carried one direction through this era because the music wasnt anything speical other than another radio pop song. One thing, Kiss you, tell me a lie, more than this, I want, last first kiss and rock me ( live). If you react to rock me look up their brisbane 2013 concert, zayns high note is wild.

Exactly, the 80’s-90’s sound. This album is the first album they really got involved in writing. It was actually Louis that was the driving force to try and make them more rockier, and demand that they should be apart of the songwriting or at least have a say in what kind of songs they’d do. But you should know the boys kind of voted on what they should do and majority won. So Zayn for example were never really into this kind of music. As you can tell by his solo music. It’s completely different. I think that, as well as his anxiety might explain why he doesn’t feel as into it as the others. All the others were fine with it. I know Louis takes a lot of pride in the writing (they still had a huge writing team that were the main writers let’s not forget that) because he felt he didn’t contribute to the band as a singer and so he took charge of writing as much as he could instead and he has the most writing credits out of the boys, closely followed by Liam.

They had a comment from Def Leppard's guitarists that was something like yeah it kinda sounds the same but it's basic blues, we don't own it to sue them for it)) Another song on this album is almost a total "rip-off" of Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield (1D's song is called "Does He Know") and hey still weren't sued for it. I believe they were "inspired" by the production and song structures but they didn't really steal it, technically they were different. But stuff like this prevents me from calling Midnight Memories a really breakthrough album, it was a smooth change of sound for the band but it was far from being revolutionary lol. Four and Made In A.M. are way more interesting, I'd say.

Zayn wasn’t into the music they were making and it’s so obvious, but the band was stronger for it when he left so it worked out for everyone…

Lol this has nothing to do with the music. That’s literally how Zayn performs on stage even after he left. he has anxiety and he didn’t even perform live again after he performed 2 or 3 times only as a soloist
@thetannaree2 жыл бұрын
@@nourasaad7014 🙄- yes I’m quite aware of his anxiety…however his torpor also has everything to do with the music he’s stated repeatedly it wasn’t his style as the band progressed - and it’s painfully obvious with what he produced. His own affect when performing his own music is also subdued (anxiety) but not the same flavor at all…“lol”
