About Zayn, he has always been a funny guy and has always been Louie's partner in pranks and crimes . But he's also shy and that's why he's not completely himself in front of the camera! But in reality he was mischievous. But anyway, over the years in the band, his anxiety and mental health problems made him gradually quieter, (At that time, even though he rarely spoke, he was really funny when he did😂)

Liam did not like Louis while they were on the X Factor, but they eventually became best friends. Louis and Zayn were partners in crime with their shenanigans and pranks. I don’t think Zayn talked much in interviews because he was a little shy, but also management branded him as the “mysterious” one.

Will say that Louis recently mentioned that he didn’t have the support of the radio playing his music, and his shows are fan based support. Music is fan supported. Which like, is pretty cool. They are all incredibly talented and doing great

zayns humor has come back a lot now, you can def see it in the interview with zack sang show. I think he kinda of shut it out because of everything that was happening and he even talked about how he regrets being so serious and not enjoying his moment in the band in that interview. Harry was once asked to describe Louis in three words, and his answer was: “ spontaneous, loud, loud, AND LOUD” And yeah he has never been more correct than this 😂😂😂

Thanks for giving us a great reaction with serious thoughts and humor as well! Prob. read a lot of stuff here. My own take- at this point, the managers in charge of the show were grooming all the contestants to be the most likable, commercially successful, sellable in there eyes. These boys still figuring out who that were, being out of parental homes for the 1st time, on tv, and present themselves in the way or persona that had been picked for them. I think they all started to question themselves in the moment if they were doing it right!? I think Zayn was a funny guy though a little camera shy. Prankster with Lou. Overtime was molded to continue to be the dark mysterious one that they marketed him as. He showed less of true self. Liam did not like Louis in the beginning. He was serious business abou😮t career. Dubbed Daddy Directioner, a role he didn’t like or want. Louis although Loud and goofy, he was charismatic and the leader that the other’s followed naturally, Liam didn’t really like that. I think Louis went to extremes to hide his lack of confidence in his singing ability. This affected his comfort level on stage. Niall sweet good goofball loved Louis and Harry, and was happy to be there with all of them. Harry I don’t think have a mean bone in his body. Not extremely confident but loved to sing and took so naturally to the stage! Lou asked for Harry’s autograph during auditions because he said Harry was going to be so famous. Lou didn’t think he’d even get through. Again some are from interviews, other things just opinions. ❤✌️

As Niall said, it would have been a very different band if it didn’t have Louis he made the band entertaining and interesting.

All that personality Louis showed here didn’t translate onto the stage where he suddenly became very self conscious, he said he was just gaining stage confidence when 1D went on hiatus. It’s a very different dynamic off stage where Louis disruptive, chaotic and irreverent character shone. Those most comfortable on a stage and interacting with the crowd were Harry Liam and Niall. Over the course of the band Harry and Niall and to a lesser extent Louis (who focused more on managing and finding his place in the band which he invested a great deal of himself in, hence his bitterness when they went solo) used the opportunity to develop their vocal ability, performance and songwriting skills and were flexible in what became a high stress environment where Liam turned to drink and Zayn became more withdrawn, stressed and who’s personality was least suited to stadiums and the touring life

Zayn was definitely very funny. Zayn and Louis were thick as thieves and caused chaos everywhere. That is mostly why fans were so shocked when that twitter fight happened between them.

They all played parts in the band and it all started here. Louis as the oldest was the least matured for sure, he once said he was the class clown and he took on that role here. Based on other early interviews and performances I always felt it was Louis way of hiding his own shyness and putting on a facade, like it's easier to be cocky if you play a part. That's the overall vibe I got from him knowing the same kind of type from my own school time at least. Yeah. Liam and Louis did not get along on X Factor. They've both said it. Liam was the most serious and I don't think he liked this kind of silliness at all. Harry didn't seem to mind at all and played along. And according to early interviews Liam called Louis and Zayn the loudest in the X Factor house so I'd say they were on the same wave length but I think in front of a camera Zayn became more reserved and shy. I think during first and second album tour Zayn looked to be the most carefree and having fun. Louis and Zayn - Partners in crime stems from somewhere. Niall pretty much laughed at anything Louis said or did. There were a lot of content from the X Factor house with games and questions etc and in most of those Louis took on the interviewer/host role and thus never having to answer any questions himself.

Without Louis, 1D would not have made it. He was the voice for the band with management, wrote 38 songs and has always kept 1D a big part of his solo career. Without radio support or the level of promo that Harry gets, he's filling stadiums on his own. with pretty much just fan support. He's an amazing lyricist and savvy businessman and despite label/management back in the day wanting him to fail as a solo artist (or as a member of 1D for that matter) and the blackballing from radio play he's highly successful and has the most loyal fanbase.

Louis had a great influence on the popularity of Band from the beginning. As Liam and Niall always say, Louis was a vital member of the band in every way! And actually, among the 1d fandom (not the media and ordinary people), Louis is still the most favorite member, he’s literally adored by everyone! But from the very beginning when they were just kids, the politics of the industry kicked in and they chose Harry and Zayn to become superstars! Especially Harry! Harry was prepared to become a solo star(the big pop star that he is now and we’re so grateful for him) in the middle of the band’s journey! Maybe Louis would still be the star of the band if it was still up to the fans.. but he's always the fan favorite out of the five! Everyone’s beloved! Any way in general, all of them are our talented stars and we cherish them :)

Louis is always really the funny one, as the boys keep saying in interviews, but bec of his distinct voice thats not suitable for pop music and the management keep telling him he is not good enough and their parts in their songs translate that.which made Louis lost all his confidence that he have to find a way to be useful for the band.

Another reason why zayn maybe stopped trying to be funny is that their management told them to maintain their images (zayn being mysterious, liam responsible, louis funny etc)

Louis in the beginning says "This might look like one big Babygrow" the outfit he was wearing, in the UK the all in one suit you put on babies is called a babygrow. Sorry I feel I have to translate some things for you, Zayn say's Rogan Josh it is a curry, as an older person only watching 1D because of Harry's solo career, like you I see them with different eyes, I would put them in two groups, 1st Harry, Liam and Niall who were always very in touch with the crowd, always dancing and interacting 2nd Zayn and Louis always reserved, never seemed fully comfortable with the crowd, Liam by this time had already been performing in front of audiences so had built up his confidence, I am wondering why Zayn has all of a sudden jumped into the limelight 🤔🤔

@@W0rdsandMus1che’s actually spoken about this in recent interviews. he said he hasn’t performed his past albums because he doesn’t connect with R&B on stage (he does when creating it just not performing it). therefore he wanted to try a different genre so he can perform it, and he’s said his current album is inspired by his surroundings (living in pennsylvania, as well being inspired by Chris Stapleton) and that’s why it’s changed, it allows for more rawness. in regards to him being more active, he has said it’s because of Khai, he wants be a good role model to her and show her that he can do stuff that has made him anxious in the past. he’s also said that his perspective has changed and he’s matured, he wants to be more active in the spotlight because that’s what his proffession entails

“Louis is a great person to just sit and admire what he’s like.”- Harry Styles Louis was once this extra, and in his words “flamboyant.” This side of him was slowly crushed by management, unfortunately. While in the band, Louis was the one to encourage Harry to be himself. He encouraged Harry to have his nails painted for the first time, to wear dresses if he wanted, etc. We wouldn’t have the beautiful, vibrant Harry today if it wasn’t for Louis.

During the X-Factor show, the female host Connie asked Simon Cowell, "Which one of the 1D boys was to stand out for him?" Simon answered on National TV, "Harry Styles." Louis and his family knew this. Louis's mother (RIP) started a Twitter account. She introduced herself as Louis's mother and Harry Styles adopted mother. She asked the fans to follow her to find out all the 1D gossip. She later tweeted: I'd like to thank the X-Factor show for introducing me to the lovely Anne, and Louis to Harry Styles. She also tweeted: My son Louis and his husband Harry Styles returns home tomorrow, happy days. She also tweeted: Going to London to meet with Louis and Harry, real estate darling. All five of the 1D boys were going apartment hunting together, but yet she only mentioned Louis and Harry. She asked the fans to follow for 1D gossip but the only gossip that was being spread was about Louis and Harry. Then later Harry and Louis were doing a livestream in Louis's hotel room. Louis was choosing which questions to answer. Louis read out a question from a so-called fan (probably his family member who liked spreading gossip about L&H) this so-called fan's name was supposedly Larry Stylinson. Louis did a really bad acting job when he tried acting surprise and shocked about the combining of Louis and Harry's name. So that's really how Larry Stylinson was born. Simon said Harry was the standout in the band and Louis and his family member tried attaching Louis to Harry from the very beginning. Harry got wise to what was happening and started distancing himself from Louis to try to put a stop to the Larry bullsh*t.

Much of this is lost in translation, just so you can get more of the humour google Susan Boyle, I disagree with Nathan about Zayn, if you look Louis cuts everyone off before they can reply, personally I wouldn't be able to tolerate him for long, there are videos on here where I cringe at how often he put people down (especially Harry) all this romantic business is very childish, you would have thought that the fans would have grown up by now, after all they will be in their thirties the same as the band, Nathan looked puzzled at the band Take That, they are one of the original British boy bands, like all boy bands the fans make up romantic theories between the members, great to see views from older men.
