Accusing him of boy band jihad is downright cruel. Their management didn’t know what to do to protect him. I don’t fully blame Simon, I don’t think they knew how to handle it …. Told him to man up and just take it… they probably didn’t want to give him preferential treatment else the other might not take it well and think it’s favoritism … I don’t think any south Asian made it big in mainstream at that time …. Especially since Zayn never westernize his name and didn’t hide his ancestry and religion.

He still is. He's one of the best people on this planet. Kind, funny, talented, loving, compassionate, sassy, beautiful, interesting, unique, etc. he has it all. You definantly do not find too many people like him, that's for sure. He emphasizes all the good qualities in humanity, and even better, Harry, and really most of the guys in One Direction, seem to bring out the good qualities in others. That's why they have become legends. Surpassing some of the biggest boy bands. Because they bring something more than talent, they bring personality and make people love them just for them. No gimmicks, no hiding flaws, etc. Just open and funny and caring and very likable and down-to-earth human beings. People respect that. That's another reason people, including most of the other celebrities that know them, are so protective of them as well.

I found, out of all of them, he had the better voice but the others had SO many pitch & rhythm problems I’m surprised they made it thru: but then I’m not because a lot of money had been thrown at their production. More importantly, people don’t realise that Simon’s business & ANY production hires reputation management so the boys were told exactly what they should say & do, including how positive & up beat they HAD to be. None of this is their individual persona it’s all curated like a museum piece.

This season above most all of the other seasons on X Factor, had the most stars with the actual x factor. One Direction most definantly had the x factor from the very beginning. It wasn't just that they had fantastic vocal talent. It was also because they had something extra about them that just draws people to them. They have it, that thing that this show was meant to find. Cher Lloyd has it, Rebecca and Matt to some extent (I would actually say Rebecca has more of it than Matt, that's just what I feel) even some of the people that went out earlier like Mary, Aiden, Paije and Katie to some extent. There was so much talent this season, but even more than that, there were more likable people that have that extra something that draw people to them.

Ummm, Again? You do remember this is the same competition right? They only lost one time. But who really cares now. They won everything else. Definantly did more afterward than anyone in that competition did. There's no point in crying now. They already made it, so they didn't even need to win. I think your tears will be better spent as happy tears watching them do what they do, either individually or as a group again when they come back (and for sure they are coming back, bands always do eventually). No more sad tears. They aren't dead or anything. They are very much alive, most of them are happy and healthy and all still doing what they love, you can still see each of them on stage and hear their voices on the radio. The only thing that would make it better is for them to come back. But I'm happy with them being happy and healthy.

I am getting kind of sick of the guys winning over the girls though when it is a guy and a girl in the finals. That happens a lot, even though sometimes it should have been the girl that one. You're right. Harry's vocals, and Zayn's as well, developed so much. They are fantastic now. Could totally win this now. I would vote for Harry over Zayn though. I prefer his vocals and music more. All of the boys really, developed so much as vocal artists and musicians. And song writers. Harry and Zayn and Liam may have the top vocals, but Louis and Niall are fantastic song writers. Especially Louis. I love Harry's songs as well, but Louis has a unique talent for being able to pull people directly into the song and get them to feel exactly what he is feeling. That is amazing song writing right there. But yeah, definantly Harry could wipe the floor with Matt. Rebecca though, she would be a harder one to beat in my opinion. I think she should have won that year (if 1D wasn't going to win) over Matt. She's just got such a unique and soulful voice. Not too many people in this world have a voice like that.
