Aimz360 - Im happy you got good results! Now remember this feeling, you need it when things dont go your way next time, so you dont quit all together. Especially people.. it gets hard there, but if you remember how awesome it felt when you succeeded, its more bearable, and not so discouraging. I dont do humans at all (only veeery far away, just a notion of a person), my frustration meter broke after dozen-ish attempts, I hope you have better luck and stamina. I might hop on that horse again, but not anytime soon, someday.. Really happy for you, keep racking up those wins and save them in your “brain bank” for later :)

@@janemiettinen5176 Thank you for your kind and encouraging words. I am actually working on a fairy piece for my sisters fiance as she is really into fairies and spiritual stuff. Thank you for this Kirsty, I've never wanted to paint at all, well I want to use soft pastels which are usually referred to as painting. But I always thought of them to be washed out paintings which I'm not keen on but no look at the lovely colour in your painting !!!! I actually found out about this when my Mam showed me this watercolour and wow it was lovely. Maybe I might have a go at some point 😉 xx

I hadn’t planned to try watercolor, still playing with drywall mud bas relief. Your videos convinced me to try it again. I hope Patreon works on their platform though. It’s so popular and such a great tool for artists, it would be nice if they put out a version with better search options and easier ways to organize the content. I don’t know if the difficulties are just because I’m using an iPad or if it shows up that way on any device.

Hey Kirtsy, I love your videos. I have a question. How do you prefer to rewet the painting if it dries while you are working. Everytime I try to rewet the page my brush picks up colors and begins to move them. Do you have a prefered technique to take care of this rewetting process?? Thank you so much for your videos and help!

You can also simply use masking liquid first, splatter or paint with a small brush, and then the white paper becomes the “bright white”. let the masking liquid dry, paint your painting, let dry and then rub off the masking liquid. This is another option for those who want to keep their painting transparent.
