Hi sir, I also want to learn flute. Don't have any knowledge of the notes and scales. Saw some youtube videos & I like the sound of G scale flute.Heard after C one should go for G for learners. Bought one but since i am into learning so wanted to invest accordingly.The flute which came as a G flute is 34cm and doesn't sound like one. Can you suggest what to do? I am ready to invest 2-4k for a good thick sound flute like G scale, but just want to ensure it is replaceable if needed if that doesn't come right so that i don't loose so much amount at once. Is there any good site from where i can buy one and it is replaceable if needed?

Sir are you sure that you were right when explaining about playing Sargam from G note in a C scale flute? I guess F(ma), G(pa), A(dh) and B(ni) will be played with half open keys. Or am I wrong?

Shiv'z Muzic Academy sir one more doubt please. When we start Sargam from third hole in a C scale flute, we have to half open the first hole for shuddh Ma. Else it will be teevra Ma. So I guess that every hole is an alternate note. That's why I had asked my first question. Hope you understand my confusion sir.
