Hi Matti, thanks for this review. I like bags that are as simple as possible and as rugged as possible. I do not like many outside pockets. I my experience from 45 years of outdoor photography, the bags made of heavy duty nylon are the most rugged and those that survives for many years, leather looks nice, but it is not as strong for many years, I have had accidents with leather bags, but also with cheap made nylon bags. So I will keep my simple old shoulder and backpacks for now. Maybe I will get a Tenba shoulder bag, Tenba looks like good bags, I had one in the early 1980s, it was a very well made, strong bag. The old bags that I use now are Lowepro and Crumpler. I had a very good Tamrac backpack, but the zipper broke. Bags are a headache for many photographers. I would like to have a new backpack, but unlike you, I wnat one that opens from the backside ! Because I do a lot of outdoor photography, it is very annoying I have to lay the backside of the backpack down on wet and dirty ground and after that have it on my back, so backpacks that opens from the backside are number one !

Thanks for sharing. I like the backside zipper too for the same reasons you mentioned. However, if that's the only access to the bag it's not easy to get your gear out.

I have one of their sling bags. I like it. Well made. It's similar in construction to the 2nd backpack you show. It has the expandable top which I like. The only downside is the zipper top opens in the opposite way that I would like. Kind of like what you said about the 1st backpack.

I have Compagnon Element Sling 7L. Nice bag, very good build quality. Lots of space with roll top design, which is not that common with slings. However, the main section with camera gear is very cumbersome and awkward to open. It needs both hands and still it’s slow to operate. It isn’t a problem though, unless you need constantly - and fast - take the camera out, like in street photography or similar.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Compagnon.

Tank You! Nice backpacks, but if you use "toy cameras and lenses" micro four, like me, then Olympus has a similar backpack that I use. For just over 100 Euros. There I can fit an OM 1 with a 12-40 mm f2.8 lens moneyrat on the camera, a 40-150 mm f2.8 lens, a 300 mm f4.0 and a macro, alternatively fixed smaller lens in the camera compartment itself. and straps for stand, pocket for vod.. water. In the free compartment there is space for a thermos and the like like in your nice backpacks. At first, when I bought the backpack, I thought it was too small, but now, when I've used it, it's perfect. But for those of you who use big stuff...🤠

Thanks for sharing. You should always of course choose the right size bag for your gear😀 My super big Sony A7IV and the ultra large Sony 40mm F2.5 fit in a 3 liter shoulder bag together with some personal items.

Hi Matti, you pay for what you get, and what your getting from the first Backpack is quality, as you said. I think that this backpack can be used for other purposes apartment from being a photographer. Would be good for Bushwalking and Fishing, and other purposes. It's just my view. Thanks Matti for the variety on your channel. 😊

Thanks. Yeah, the first bag could be your everyday bag as well.

Do those magnets in pocket, destroy memorycards?🤔 old credit cards destroyed with magnet.. i dont have test with memorycards..
@mattisulanto2 ай бұрын
I made a quick test and put a memory card between the magnets. Nothing happened and the card works fine. I don't see how memory cards could even get in contact with the magnets unless you keep the cards loose in the pocket. There are some accessories with magnets, like filters, and those are much more likely to touch your cards, in my opinion. If you own such filters, that is.
