The cross is part of being Catholic...I'm a catholic since I was born. Had watched my sisters and brothers leave the church. Where I live, I'm surrounded by Protestants in a southern town. I've accepted my cross and wouldn't want to be anything else but a strong catholic woman in love with the beauty of the Catholic church. The cross is part of being Catholic, it has taught me to pray, to be humble, and to go deeper in what she teaches. God bless

I often think about how protestants don't display a crucifix (some nonsense about Catholics still have Jesus on the cross or we kill him again every Sunday! 🤦♂️) There's nothing wrong per se with just the cross but I just don't feel what I feel when I see the crucifix. There's a visceral reaction to it that I don't get from an image of just the cross

Thank you so much for this episode, Keith. I, too, am a prospective convert to Catholicism, having been completely enraptured by the Eucharist as was the case with Joe here. Please pray for me, as I have a wife, who is utterly opposed to my desire for conversion, and three children.

You cannot control how others perceive you. You can only present yourself as you see yourself, and hopefully with God’s blessing. The rest is out of our hands. The hard part is to let it go. Our Lord will take it from there.

Something I was thinking about as I watched this show.... Why don't you have your wife on and have her tell her conversion story? Unless you already have, and I missed it. Thank you for the work you do for our Church! God bless you! ⚘️

My father became a Catholic 16 years ago. Now my mother finally decided to also join the Catholic Church coming Easter. In the end the thing that held my mother back the most was that she could not understand the irreverence of the New Mass.

It is becoming more of a problem with the weird "new" ways of celebrating it, and it's sad, but what matters most is her own disposition toward the Mass and the Eucharist.

Shouldn't be converts? There wouldn't be any Roman Catholics if there were never converts! You are correct there is no worship without sacrifice. That's how you know we do not worship The Blessed Virgin Mary of the Saints, we honour and venerate them. We do not offer them sacrifice. On the other hand a lot of Protestants do not worship God, they merely honour and venerate him, which looks like what we do to The Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints,

@@ilonkastille2993 Well I don't see any numbers. But as far as we all believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and acknowledge we are redeemed by His blood..we should be good...We are divided on church doctrines. The orthodox churches have never evangelized the world like the Catholics did.
@ilonkastille29938 ай бұрын
@@therighteousrighthand yes we are divided because of the Church question. Jesus instituted His Church before He left the physical world. He instituted this Church so His Word, His Teachings would continue in His absence. He said that His followers should be One fold with one shepherd. Not thousands of broken off pieces with no shepard at all. He also told His Apostles to spread His Word into the whole word and tell them about the Good News , the Gospel. As for the Orthodox, they were one church within Catholicism. The Schism which occurred was more political than anything else. They themselves have 16 different orthodox churches which are regional and ethnic. Therefore not to be compared to the Catholic Church which is Universal. The Catholic has 24 different Rites but they are all in communion with the One Shepard who is in Rome. They have the same Bible , the same Faith. The Holy Eucharist is the Source and Summit of the Catholic Faith! It’s a HUGE difference!😀🙏🏻 study John chapter 6. And really study it out! What did Jesus say? He tripled down on it. Why did the large group of followers walk away that day and never return?? Ask The Lord, what does He want you to know? ❤🙏🏻 If Jesus meant it as a symbol only…why did the large group leave Him?? Why was it offense to them as Jews?? It’s so worth finding out.🙏🏻

@@elizabethking5523many Protestants believe the Eucharist is more than symbolic. Apparently many Catholics don’t believe in transubstantiation. Jesus’ words are very clear, in my opinion.
@rosemarybaxter91208 ай бұрын
I would love to participate in a Catholic Eucharist, but I’m Protestant, and I’m not allowed to unless I become Catholic. This really annoys me! My Pentecostal church that I attended for 22 years would say, at the Communion service, ‘If you love the Lord Jesus, you are welcome to receive. If not, come up for a blessing.’ In the Anglican Church that I attended before that, you had to be confirmed before you could partake in the Communion service. I feel it should be an open table. The Catholic Church seems like a secret society.
@ramonam92518 ай бұрын
My brother became Lutheran and he was not to participate in their communion service until he converted to that denomination.
@kathywiens98527 ай бұрын
If you truly were knowledgeable about the Roman Catholic Church then you would understand not being able to come to the altar to receive the Holy Eucharist. Your statement sounds like pride is involved. I would encourage you to start reading things like our cathecism, and the numerous other writings on Catholism. Maybe go to a local Parish and ask about classes to learn more. If you aren't willing to do what it takes then you're not truly desirous of what you say you are. Bless you🙏💕
@yankeecitygirl7 ай бұрын
Catholics aren’t supposed to receive the Holy Eucharist if we are not in a state of grace, so don’t feel singled out or as if someone is keeping a big secret from you. Most of the Protestant denominations consider the communion ritual a symbol, Catholic communion is a sacrament whereby we receive the Body of Christ, therefore it is important to prepare a worthy receptacle for Him.
@katydidd38616 ай бұрын
It's for your own good! The Eucharist IS the Body and Blood of Jesus, no just symbolic. It's a serious sin to receive without recognizing the true Presence, and Protestants do not.
