I have the TT RS from Speed Machines, another one and done casting. I had the orange one growing up, lost that one. I later found a mint silver one at a flea market last summer for $2. Quite a steal considering how much they go for these days.

I remember passing up on a silver one in favor of an orange GTR SpecV (also from Speed Machines) many years ago. Today, I drive a 2nd gen TT and that silver casting is the closest any 1:64 diecast brand has gotten to it. I seriously regret picking the GTR over it.

My all time favorite video of yours was the original version of this. Vector W8* has always been one of my favorite cars IRL and I'm glad to own the Hot Wheels version. One-and-dones (or two-and-dones) are some of the coolest to have to have in a collection, I usually deliberately go after them for that very reason. DB4 Zagato, LaFerrari*, MC12*, NFS Mustang*, Audi TTS, Murcielago SV*, 250 California, Mini Countryman, Mustang II, Vector M12*... the list just goes on and on. It's truly baffling considering some of these castings are superb and licensing in theory shouldn't inhibit newer releases. ("*" means I have it)

There are many Hollywood based castings that we'll probably never see in any other forms (Simpsons cars, 101 Dalmations, Jetsons, red Grease Lightning car, etc) . There are many 70's and 80's castings also that were done 1 time in 1 color and never returned again. Hopefully you touch on some of those

The yellow Mustang II you have shown is based on real show cars called the "Munroe Handlers. 6 custcom cars were built in a joint venture between Monroe shocks & Hot Rod Magazine . Car Craft was also involved in the builds which were body kits added to the Mustang II's . Revell Models also made model kits of this custom car

I try to collect as many different licensed cars as I can. Love to have assortments of cars from all manufacturers. I saw the quadttroporte at a hot wheels toy show in my town and wanted it. I, for one, WOULD like to see the Mustang II in a second release; personally, I'd like to see it done in a similar "ugly car" paint job, maybe the reddish-orange of the center stripe as the base color with the bold yellow of the base color on this model as the two outside stripes, then the center stripe done in maybe a forest green. I personally have what I strongly suspect to be a one-and-done mainline casting in my collection, and if any of you have information to the contrary, then PLEASE tell me! It's a variant casting of the Chevy Stocker with small rear wheel wells and cast-in doors, and as far as I know, it's only ever been released in white with indigo, red, and silver tampos decorated as a Huffman Racing no 1 car. They later released the IROC Firebird in an adapted version of the same paint scheme, but I personally like how they executed that scheme on the modified Chevy Stocker better. If it truly is a one-and-done casting (and the unmodified Chevy Stocker casting did appear for a while after in both the original and Track Stars toolings, so it can't be a licensing issue, can it?) then I would REALLY like to see a return of this casting for just one more run - maybe they could do another run of their "The Lost Cars of China" series with it in it, or maybe a "The Lost Cars of Malaysia" or "... of Thailand", depending on where it was manufactured (not going downstairs to look at it just to finish this post lol).

That Quattroporte was my second ever ostensibly 'good' model (the code my dad and I used for castings based on real motors with printed lights). As a result of unboxing it at age four it's seen quite the beating but never left my carry cases. At 22 with nearly 300 cars to my collection of 'good models', it's so nice to see something here that was pivotal in kickstarting a near life-long hobby in it's pristine glory!

This is why HW lost the Maserati license. Fiat-Chrysler, who already owned Ferrari, bought Maserati. After it was bought, Ferrari started producing the engines for Maserati. The Quattroporte and the MC12 use Ferrari engines and the MC12 actually shares the same chassis as the Ferrari Enzo. Since HW lost the Ferrari license, Maserati had to go along with it unfortunately.
@BLACKAAROW2 жыл бұрын
interesting, when did HW lose the license like around 2014/2015? if that's the case it still doesn't explain why no maserati HW cars were made for a decade up until they lost the Ferrari license.

@@BLACKAAROW honestly I don't remember when HW lost the Ferrari license and I assume that no Maseratis were made after was because they weren't popular, which was stated in the video.
