@@buffalove9634 It wasnt that it was easier, there was still stress, money problems, government BS we where in the throws of another democrat's president that caused inflation to sky rocket, fuel price never really recovered from that. I remember the company I was working for at the time Pan Am World Service's was pushing there retirement program they matched 20 percent to what ever you put in from your paycheck! I think the biggest thing is the fact that the WWW has open up instant gratification to the point where it has degraded society to zero patience, i can remember waiting for weeks to get a letter from a girl i was dating then the week response. @@buffalove9634 I think they just seemed like simpler times if you were a kid then because you weren't aware of the problems of the world, just the ones right outside your door. We didn't have the internet or 24-hour news cycles so we weren't exposed to as much in a lot of ways. Everything we did wasn't considered harmful. Adults smoked right in your face; grandparents would offer you wine at family gatherings even though you were only 10. And the things that did happen were our own fault- if a child ate laundry detergent, it was because mom didn't put it away or the kid was an idiot, it wasn't Tide's fault. I broke my tailbone on a Slip n Slide- my mom didn't sue Wham-O, she just told me I had to be more careful. We were less obsessed with consequences.

Now days when I see people or speak to them it's like the lights are on but nobody is home or they just have an unnecessary attitude. We all know now that everything we see, hear and live in daily is so full of hatred and spite but we also know who is responsible. I had a conversation the other day about how bad things are as an American and that there is no escape, no where else to go. We are all stuck on this sinking ship with the ones that shot holes into the hull. I hope everyone watching these videos and reading the comments enjoys their memories because those are the things that no one can ever take away, Be at peace, my friends.

I'm not trying to bash women now for using these filters & stuff. I'm just saying there was something really naturally beautiful about the women back then. There are beautiful women/ppl in every generation but something about the 70s & 80s women just is so naturally pretty. Even with the big hair, they had nice skin without filters. Beautiful eyes. My mom was born in 1966 and her highschool pics look like a model standing there. Her hair was so shiney long and she had bright blue eyes, no make up. She naturally was so attractive. It's just something I've noticed I never see anymore in person or on the internet.

What I miss the most about 70s and 80s commercials even though I wasn't alive for most of them, are the ones where they all seem to like get together and sing in a choir. Like the Bank One one. There was a lot of jingle choir singing in that era and it was always catchy and sounded really good. Now everything's like Auto-Tune or terrible rock in ads.
