It's not used by Neo-Nazis, but rather by PEGIDA, some fucks who use it occasionally thinking they're some resistance force that's "resisting Islamization". But that still doesn't change the history of the flag. If some anti-Islamic group were to use the French Resistance flag, it wouldn't change the history of that flag either.

I keep listening to this over and over again, and all I keep thinking is how incredibly based this is. In an authoritarian regime, any and all critique of the state is prohibited, and subject to severe punishment, up to and including capital punishment. Despite this, they wrote this music, knowing it was a literal death sentence, to attack the fascist state, because it was the right thing to do. I don't know anything more heroic than that. The German antifascist movement does not get enough credit for their almost suicidal bravery.

​@@xyphoon5013 The KPD wasn't willing to budge in to the fascists. The SPD was and still is the enemy of the people, except a select few, all of them already dead. Have you ever heard of the Matrosenaufstand von Kiel? The SPD used them as long as they were useful, once they wanted more radical changes, the SPD despised them and even shot at a building some protestors were in. Literally fighting against the people they claim to represent. They were against a general strike and due to events like these eventually lost the support of the people, leading to the only real alternatives being the KPD and the NSDAP. Your words, not mine. While the SPD didn't directly enable the fascists to win, they preferred to fight alone instead of allying with the KPD.

Borders always change, it´s just the reality now and as Germany and Poland are EU Members every German is free to live in the former German territories. I think it´s totally random to say "the borders should be like they were in ...", might as well say I want the German borders from 1334, and Naples belongs to us ;)

All of the Eastern Germans were deported to Germany. It would be incredibly troublesome to exchange borders because of an infinite amount of reasons. And Germany is incredibly wealthy with the borders as they are, while I'm sure that even western polish people would probably enjoy Germany and its laws more than Poland and the PiS conservative bullshit, that would still be a rather impossible proposition
