(An update for ye: I have now written the entire song!) "The Real Lord Shady": May I have thine attention please? May I have thine attention please? Will the true Lord Shady please stand up? I do repeat, will the true Lord Shady please stand up? We will have a problem here Ye all act like ye have not seen a medieval person before Swords all on the floor like Margaret, like Thomas crusade in through the door And we have lost to our enemies even worse than before First victorious, now throwing ourselves in for capture (Ahh!) It is the return of the, oh waitest, ye can't, thou art jesting He did not just proclaim what I think he did, did he? And Preacher Dre said, nothing ye fools, Preacher Dre is dead, he is vaulted in the tomb's basement Unorthodox women still love to sing a hymn O' lord, o' lord, Lord Shady, art thou sick of him? Ye look at him, trotting around, grabbin' his rubied cross, Showing his silk-spun cloths, but he is handsome though Aye, I may have got a couple of my loyalties and morals loose But no worse, than what is going on in thy royals chambers Sometimes, I crave to climb the stage and just let go, but can't But it is just for Thomas Smith to hunt a grand moose My ankles have been stripped, my ankles have been stripped And if I am fortunate thou mightst just give them a little kiss And 'tis the lesson we deliver to all our kin And expect them not to know what a woman's bosom is And against God's will we give another a green gown Long before a courtship or officiating of betrothal And beg for forgiveness on Sundays in the chapel We are no more than God’s chariots But some of them are Barbarians, Who slice others open like a bread loaf But if we can hurt others just to have triumph, There is no reason two mustn't kiss before they court But if ye feel as I, I am with the antidote Maidens wave your woolen hose, sing the chorus and Rondeau I am Lord Shady, aye, the real Lord Shady All ye other Lords and Ladies are just imitating So wilt the real Lord Shady, please stand up Please stand up, please stand up! (x2) John Gower needeth not write of courtly love to sell his rhymes But a sinful man must repent and payeth for all his crimes. Do ye think I care of being titled Knightly? Half of ye can’t even bear to look at me Let alone fight beside me But Lord, what if ye win, would it be wyrd Why, so ye men can just lie to get me here So ye can seat me here beside Edward the Third? Egad! King John the Second, better switch me thrones So I can sit beside Lionel of Antwerp and Chaucer And hear them bicker over who won the battle first The clodpates put me for display in the stocks Aye, I may be brave, but there are those that do mock (Shady!) At least I can find myself a Lady And show the whole Kingdom, how betrothal be (Ahh) I am abhorred by ye traitors, all ye do is gall me So I have been sent here to nobly destroy ye There still be a million who hold affinity and battle with me Who curse as me, who care not to be damned as me Who dress as me, walk, speak, and act as me And may just be, the next best thing, but not quite me For I am Lord Shady, aye, the real Lord Shady All ye other Lords and Ladies are just imitating So wilt the real Lord Shady, please stand up Please stand up, please stand up! (x2) I am a power to listen to, but I purposefully give the chatter Things ye jest about with friends, drinking mead in the tavern The difference lies, I'm in the station to speak my mind in front of ye And I needn’t be false or smeareth it in honey at all I merely tower on the platform and assert it And whether ye want to reveal, I do have grit Better than ye cowards out there who just stand Then ye wonder, how can Lord Shady rule so many lands? It is loyalty, the manner in which others show their fealty A Lord with such a faithful Vassal serving Paying homage while my best made plans are stirring And still as Lord Shady, for more power I am yearning In every man, there may be a Lord Shady lurking He could be conquering Normandy, but instead he beeth here hurting Or in the warfield charging, we are damned to hell with all this luck With his sword drawn and his armour struck So wilt the real Lord Shady, please stand up And point one of your fingers, on each hand up Egad! Ye be proud to be crazed and fight for control And once more, with all your might, loud as ye can, how doth it go? I am Lord Shady, aye, the real Lord Shady All ye other Lords and Ladies are just imitating So wilt the real Lord Shady, please stand up Please stand up, please stand up! (x4) Gad, there be but a Lord Shady within all of us Damned in hell, let us all stand up.

4:35 Tho I was born in 1410 i still remember this epic rap ballad. It went something like this: Intro: Hear ye, if thou had one chance, one grand crusade, To claim all honor in a fleeting parade, Wouldst thou take it, or let it swiftly fade? Hark! Verse 1: His hands doth shake, legs weak, helm feels heavy, The tavern’s ale spills, though his goblet’s not ready. He’s tense, but on the surface, looks battle-ready, Ready for war, though his thoughts be unsteady. The speech he prepared is lost in the crowd, The squires all cheer, their voices so loud. He falters-how? The jesters jesting still, The bell doth toll, his fate’s drawn by will. Snap back to the fray, oh, the banners fly high, His sword feels weighty, yet he must try. There goes the foe, a misstep, a stumble, He’s enraged, but his spirit won’t crumble. He won't quit, nay, his fire’s not spent, Though armor’s dented, his heart’s intent. He knows his quest, though his coffers are bare, The squires cheer louder, they know he doth care. Return to his castle, to plan once more, By firelight’s glow, he’ll even the score. Back to the smith, his blade to hone, The siege draws near-he won’t stand alone! Chorus: Thou must lose thyself in the clash of steel, This moment is thine, thou must strike with zeal! Thou hast but one shot, let not the chance fly, For such an opportunity comes once, then goodbye. Verse 2: The trumpet’s call, the knights now prepare, The battleground looms, with banners in air. His comrades beside him, blades raised with pride, In taverns last night, they drank side by side. But now 'tis war, not a jest or a song, This moment will judge who’s weak, who’s strong. His hands still shake, but his grip’s iron-clad, He knows if he fails, he’ll lose all he had. The trebuchets launch, the arrows take flight, The hourglass empties, now comes the fight! The foe draws near, steel clashes with roar, He fights for his land, his honor, and more. The squire shouts loud, “Hold fast, stay true!” The knight nods grimly, his path to pursue. Though blood stains his tabard, he won’t yield yet, The tavern songs echo, a promise unmet. Back to the hall, he dreams of the feast, But first must come victory, slaying the beast! Chorus: Thou must lose thyself in the storm of war, This moment is thine, let it slip no more! Thou hast but one chance, let not the sword fall, For battles like this come but once, if at all.

Loseth thyself Lo If thou hadst One shot Or one opportunity To seize everything thou ever desired In one moment Wouldst thou capture it Or merely let it slip? Lo His palms art cool, knees weak, out of fuel There's drool on his armor, bejeweled, mother's gruel He's anxious, but on the surface he appears so cruel To joust a bout, but he knoweth he can't redo What he doeth now, the whole court goeth so loud He draws thy sword, but thy slices won't reach out He's choking, how, the jester is joking now The hourglass runneth out, times up, and now Snappeth back to reality, o, there goeth gravity O, there goeth the abbot, he's cloaked wearing a cowl, he won't giveth in that easy? No He won't haveth, he knows his psalms lo and behold, doth not matter, he's plagued, he knoweth that, but he's broke He's so stagnant, he knoweth when he goes back to thy humble abode, that's when it's Back to thy battle and, Lo, thine whole rhapsody Best goeth capture this moment and hopeth it don't pass him thou had best loseth thyself in thy musick, thy moment thou owneth, thou should'st never letteth go thou only getteth one shot, do not miss thy chance to blow This opportunity cometh once in a fortnight, yo thou had best loseth thyself in thy musick, thy moment thou owneth, thou should'st never letteth go thou only getteth one shot, do not miss thy chance to blow This opportunity cometh once in a fortnight, lo

Y'all act like ye never heard a tale before Jousting galore, knights in armor, valor, and more Sword clashes, shield smashes, all across the floor But alas, it's the tale of a bard, you can't ignore (Chorus) So won't the real minstrel please stand up? Please stand up, please stand up? For we're about to regale, with a merry sound With lutes and drums, let's gather all around (Verse 2) I said, "My lords and ladies," why all the rage? You act like ye never heard a sonnet in thy age Noble dames, gallant knights, a medieval stage Performing feats of bravery, it's all the rage So won't you lend an ear and let the story unfold Of dragons slain and kingdoms told (Chorus) So won't the real minstrel please stand up? Please stand up, please stand up? For we're about to regale, with a merry sound With lutes and drums, let's gather all around (Bridge) Attention, lords and ladies, attention, lords and ladies All you noble folk, put down thy mugs, let's not be lazy For the real minstrel is here to entertain With tales of chivalry, honor, and disdain (Verse 3) So whether ye be a serf or a lord of the land Join in the revelry, give thy clap and hand For the minstrel's here to entertain, in full command With jests and ballads, let the festivities expand (Chorus) So won't the real minstrel please stand up? Please stand up, please stand up? For we're about to regale, with a merry sound With lutes and drums, let's gather all around (Outro) So here's to the minstrel, the true entertainer With tales of yore, he's a real entertainer Raise thy goblets high, let the merriment flow For in this medieval parody, we steal the show!

I pass her the aux cord because she was keeping me company so I figured least I could do was let her pick her own songs... (Billie eilish Melanie Martinez and the like... Not my cup o tea but whatever) The first song she puts on is The Kids/Drugs are Bad 🤦 She doesn't even like Eminem that much. That one was just trying to cheer me up. It worked 👍 Kids are great ain't they. Eminem ain't just an artist, He's the bridge to the gap between adults and kids.

29:21 Lyrics for 'Stan' ('Stanley'): My ale’s gone warm I wonder why I Rose up from the hay at all The morning rain cloudeth my window And I see nought at all And even if I could it shall all be grey Placest thy portrait on altar It remindeth me, it beeth not so bad It beeth not so bad My ale’s gone warm I wonder why I Rose up from the hay at all The morning rain cloudeth my window And I see nought at all And even if I could it shall all be grey Placest thy portrait on altar It remindeth me, it beeth not so bad It beeth not so bad Lord Shady, I wrote thee but still shant call upon thee I left my hamlet, cottage name, and whereabouts at the bottom I sent two letters back in autumn, thou must not have got them Was there a problem with the messenger and the bottle? Sometimes I babble directions too hastily or forgotten Nevermind that, egad, how dost thou do? Lord how beeth thy daughter? My maiden's with child too, soon I shall be a father If God gifteth us with daughter, guess what I shall call her? I shall name her Bonnie I heard of thine Uncle Ronnie, God haveth mercy My friend left in battle too, thought of himself unworthy I know thou likely hearest this day after day, but I think of thee as family I inquire about thee and take mead with thine Auntie Annie Thy scrolls and sentimentals fill the floor of my shanty I love what thou didst with Preacher Dre too, the grand finale Gad, I hope thou receive’st this Lord, respondest back, Just to banter, truly yours, unofficially thy family This is Stanley My ale’s gone warm I wonder why I Rose up from the hay at all The morning rain cloudeth my window And I see nought at all And even if I could it shall all be grey Placest thy portrait on altar It remindeth me, it beeth not so bad It beeth not so bad

Lose Thyself: Look If thou hadst One chance One opportunity To seize everything thou e’er wanted In one moment Would’st thou capture it Just lettest it slip? Egad! His palms are balmy, knees weak, arms heavy There is vomit on his tunic already, mater's meat patty He feareth, but on the surface he looketh calm and ready To clash blades, but he forgets That which he wrote down, the crowd goes blaring loud He openeth his mouth, but the words do not creak out He is choking, how, ye all be jesting now The sun dials no longer guide the plough, Transported back into reality, gad, there goeth the heavenly Fie, there goeth the Hare, he strayed He is furious, but he shan’t admit the defeat? Nay. He refuseth to accept, he knoweth his whole may be slayed Doth not matter, triumphant, he knoweth, but he doth stray He is stagnant, he knoweth, when he goeth back to this cavernous hole, ‘tis when it's Back to the temple again, egad, this rhapsody Best ye go capture this moment and hope it doth not pass him Thou better loseth thyself in the music, the moment Thou ownest it, thou best ne’er let it go Thou only get one clash, dost not miss thy chance to throw This opportunity cometh once in a lifetime Thou best losest thyself in the music, the moment Thou ownest it, thou best ne’er let it go Thou only get one clash, dost not miss thy chance to throw This opportunity cometh once in a lifetime Thou better His soul escapeth, through this hole that gapeth This world is mine for the taking Ye make me king, as we move toward a New Kingdom upon us A simple life is torment, but tremendous rule is done as thus It only groweth harder, only groweth hotter He bloweth, it is over, these and maidens ‘round the corners, Coast to coast showeth, they know him as the Kingdomtrotter Lonely roads, God only knoweth, he groweth farther from home, he's no pater He goeth home but barely knoweth his own daughter But pinch thy nose, here goeth the cold water The wenches no longer want him, he beeth moulding fodder They moved to the next clodpate who flows, he nose dove and was slaughtered So the theatrics are told and retold, tragedy and drama, but the battles unfold.

Lyrics of The Real Slim Shady Oh, gather 'round, ye fine folk so near, A tale of Slim Shady, ye shall now hear. In a bygone age, when quills did write, A minstrel did emerge with words so light. "Pray, lend thine ear, for I am he, The genuine Slim Shady, as you can see," A troubadour of yore, with verses bold, In verses, his saga he deftly told. "Will the true Slim Shady please stand tall?" The bard did sing, a merry call. A reflection in rhyme, a lyrical jest, Intriguing minds, putting them to the test. In riddles of rhythm, he did confound, His wit and jest, a mirthful sound. A jester in verse, a masterful bard, His words like music, struck hearts so hard. So harken now, to this tale of old, Where modern meets ancient, a fusion bold. "I am Slim Shady, the genuine in line," A ballad that echoes through the annals of time.

@SipanTseliker11 ай бұрын
@@christophe1988 yes, I believe it was like 500 years ago. And even more if we consider the medieval times to begin at around 1000AD. And then it's hard to transcribe them cause they probably didn't use the same 7 note system. Eminem is very knowledgeable of these things apparently. But it's not a bad thing. I don't consider it a theft at all.
@christophe198811 ай бұрын
@@SipanTselikerI see. The music has to come from somewhere, you would say. I thought it was made by computer. A bit like GarageBand. It's crazy ! 😮 Indeed, Eminem does not steal, he inspires himself. A true poet of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. ❤
@SipanTseliker11 ай бұрын
@@christophe1988 Maybe they also did have computers in the middle ages. There is the "Magenta Theory" and it says that magenta is not found in nature apart from LCD screens, so how could people back then know it and paint it in art? I think they had some kind of computers and they used them for producing music like in Garage band. And they were destroyed during the French revolution.

Probably not that much. I dunno, maybe he plays the sackbut. But it's more likely that he downloaded the raw tracks and replaced each instrument with medieval instruments. It's actually pretty easy to do these days. But it a lot of fun. I'm not knocking it.

@@FS-yq9ef being real instruments they’ll probably all come from a plug in. Literally just select the track, choose a different instrument and that’s it. A matter of 10 seconds work once you’ve decided which instruments you’ll replace each track with.
@superbilly2832 жыл бұрын
@@InceyWincey No, you can't just repplace the instruments, he can not have downloaded the project file in itself, but the rendered track as a mp3, which means, he still needs to create the song from 0, based on the original one. Doesn't take THAT much work, but definitely more than 10 sec
