Yes, you don't. Unlike you, I lived in a country with Communism. When I was a kid, Christmas wasn't forbidden any more, but it was, well, "discouraged". My parents lived through the times when just giving presents or going to church on that day could result in severe consequences, including deportation. You're very deluded if you think it'd go differently this time. You deluded millennials are *exactly* talking and thinking like those bastards. But you spoiled American kids have no idea of... well, anything.

It's bc in the Soviet Union and post-soviet countries the holiday you call Christmas is actually called New Year. The exact same traditions but without religious stuff. After Union falling Christmas became a typical religious holiday but without gifts and stuff (mostly).
