Dig the high snare and the Tom sounds a lot. Soon as I heard this I can already picture how I’ll use it. High pass the entire kit a little and use a 808 kick on a separate track for korn like accents.

Pick up our Slammers: Power Vault and layer a one shot with it! Some very pingy samples in there!
@lava_ava23 күн бұрын
@@mih9176 If you apply a LOT of saturation to the snare it really pings
@alrecks61923 күн бұрын
@@mih9176 you can compress it even further to exaggerate the ring, alternatively, use very narrow all pass filter on the ring frequency so it basically lengthens the ring itself without actually boosting it.

Do you think you guys can add raw kit versions of these OKWs? I wanna try my own technique with these kits.
@brendenlegault589723 күн бұрын
I figured out how do this manually. You have to make an instance per drum/cymbal, and output per mic, go into each instance, (Kontakt, Wrench top left, group editor) delete all mics not associated with the group, and route each back into individual group channels. Route all instance of Kontakt to the same midi channel. They also tend to turn on processing in Kontakt itself. Wrench.... After deleting the excess samples. Scroll down, past the group/map editor to effects, click each sample, delete any added FX. Be aware that invert and sends are nessicary and will always come back after closing and opening kontakt. It's won't destroy anything if you delete them. The benefit of doing this to all your GGD Libraries is the ability to make franken kits. Base the midi mapping off the Biggest kit you own and go from there.

The only new metal sound is in 0:35. The rest is pure djent. You need to make a better commercial
@northtimo66623 күн бұрын
Yeah, the kit sounds good and all, but it's a bit misleading to call it OKW Nu metal when it's closer to nu-metalcore/metalcore/djent tones.
@kernelxsanders22 күн бұрын
Honestly the whole brand is pretty tired to me at this point, trying to stay relevant by appearing to expand their store to include more genres, but they're mostly just the same sounds recycled with a different genre slapped on the name to boost sales. It sound good, but does this really stand out from the other options in a unique way?
