@Saokl I don't think so, the problem is, that a band need a lot of luck to get famous. There are many bands out there which kick ass, but they just haven't the luck to get discovered by a big label or something. Also the band must invest a lot of time in their passion, which isn't so easy because of job etc. Germany is ready for this kind of music, even if I dislike it ;)

Sure is germany ready. The difference between being famous in US and Germany, is that its a lot harder in germany to get famous than in US. we got 81 million Inhabitants on ~350.000 km² so there are a lot new commer bands on 10km² so the rivalry is really big even in one about 20.000 inhabitants you got around 3 new commer bands which are like one last hero (having a concert with about 200 or 300 ppl). In US you got 314.000.000 million inhabitants on ~ 9.500.000 km². Think about it.
