Amazing Michigan finds, so much history in that area. I've found copper nuggets as far south as Lapeer county but never any historical objects that go back to the 1700s, your hunts are awesome!

I’m glad you enjoy the videos, and I’ve found some pretty cool stuff in Lapeer county. Mostly old coins from old farms.

Hey Eric some nice digs as always . The forst puece of brass you show after the iron finds in the wrapup with the flat sides is the bottom half of a barrel tap key Nice find hope this helps ! GL AND HH

The oblong etched piece of silver kinda resembles a pocket knife scale because of the shape. Great stuff all around thanks for sharing.

Great stuff as usual. two of your unidentified items are bottom of a barrel tap key and the item at far right is a great find (you called it a mooring cleat) That is a bayonet scabbard clip.

The oblong item you refer to is a War of 1812 era US Military Bayonet Frog Stud. We dig them often in encampment sites here in Northern New York

Always looking forward to your vids,buddy. You’re always on it! Man I found a little silver modified coin brooch when I was visiting Iowa over thanksgiving. It’s a spot where I have found some fur trade stuff years ago. Is there any way I can send you a pic for you to see if you recognize the bust?

Not sure if anyone commented on those things you mentioned at the end but the one thats bent looks like a knife blank before it was taken to a edge and the other looks like a barbers razor. Not positive just guessing thought! great finds!

Thanks for the information, I'll have to do some more research on that!

What metal is the trade ring made of?
@Eric_Detectorist2 күн бұрын
Brass, when new it would have been polished to look like gold.

Great stuff as always. The brass piece in your round up appears tom be a scabbard clip for a bayonet. Not modern in any way.

@@Eric_Detectorist I looked at it carefully again and it is no doubt a scabbard clip . Would be at the upper end of the scabbard and fastened in a slot on the belt loop (or what erer it was called) that was ond a belt or shoulder strap. seen many found on F & I and Revolutionary War sites. Look up material excavated at Ft. Legionier in Pennsylvania. Will find some examples found there... Love your sites.
