Thank you for posting this, a nice remembrance of a rally legend. I was a club rally driver here, in Scotland, in the 70s. The car? A Longman Mini, red with a white roof!

Way back in1968 the London to Sydney car marathon came through the road which we farm on in a small mountain valley in Victoria, Australia. At the time I was fourteen. It was a competitor section, first cars passing just after midnight. If I am correct Paddy was driving a works 1800. Extremely exciting. Think he finished second overall.

RIP to the legend. The world will not be quite as bright without him. I am pissed off though as I have a news feed think on my phone and it gives me headlines and I got about 3 about paddy mcguiness and his wife splitting up cause he can't keep it in his pants and nothing about the death of a legend how dare they. How is this not news. Makes me so mad.
