Hi Jill. My first love was stamping but other things have taken over but now i have decided i should go back to it. I am so glad i found this video. You explain things so well and make easy steps look WOW. I have tried doing mixed colour backgrounds but sometimes they turn out looking dirty due to the wrong colour mixes. Please can you tell me are there any colours that dirty quickly. I hope you understand what i'm talking about. Thank you. Luvs and Hugs xxx Wendy

Thanks so much for your kind words and for watching! I find I have the best luck with color mixing if I keep warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows) together and cool colors (greens, blues, purples) together. Happy stamping! -Jill

Thank you so very much. You are the only one that has answered this question for me. I have asked many times but with no joy. I am hoping that the Bird in the Branches stamp (sorry i don't think that is the right name)will arrive today and i am super excited to get going. I do not have the reinkers so will use the ink pads onto my glass mat instead. I am having a stamp sort out today so i can make room and get the ones you use. As i am slightly colour blind i find it very useful when demonstrators tell which colour they use. However after your reply i can safely mix colours now. Luvs and hugs xx

@PennyBlackInc5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I use foam tape on the back to adhere them to my cardbase and that seems to help them flatten out. Using watercolor paper helps as well. Happy stamping! -Jill

+Sherron Robinson Thanks so much for watching, Sherron, and for your kind words! I apologize, I am unable to answer your question as I've never used the Silks paints and am not familiar with them. If I am able to find the answer for you, I will come back and post it here. Hugs and Happy Stamping!

If you are looking to color directly onto your stamps with markers, I recommend Tombow Dual Brush pens. I have used these in several other videos here on our channel if you are looking for more information about that technique. Have fun! -Jill

I'm new to this - is there an advantage to stamping then embossing over creating the bg first then stamping?
@PennyBlackInc4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. You can do it either way. But stamping and embossing does give a touch of dimension and shine to the stamped image. Happy creating! -Jill
