Erika is great. I hated it when Susan Lucci fans booed her for a win in 1996. That made me embarrassed to be a Lucci fan...if you want to lose to anyone, let it be a classy woman in Erika Slezak

It would be such a trip to meet Ms. Slezak. She is so gracious. I only started watching OLTL because an actress from another soap started there but even after this actress left to go to another Daytime Serial, I stayed on as a viewer. I always watched One Life to Live, with my beautiful late mother. My mom LOVED Joe and Viki. I always liked Viki and thought Erika was a talented actress. However, I was young and Viki just wasn't my cup of tea. I liked younger characters like Max. Lately on the internet I have been watching Viki stories. I have to say....SHE IS THE BEST!!!! She is absolutely, totally, pure talent AND class. I really missed a lot of great acting fast forwarding her stories. I have only myself to blame. Thanks to all who put these soap videos up. It really means a lot to us.

She did not win out of pity but turning in two wonderful episodes surrounding a poignant story, rightfully being applauded afterwords (nobody gives that kind of ovation out of pity). Let's face facts. ALL these wins are subjective...clearly her nominations meant something to those panelists. There's no need to put her down on a video about Mrs. Slezak just out of spite...it makes you look petty. Both exude much class and are professionals in their craft.

Pretty much agree with you TG should have stopped after 3 but 8 is more than enough. Actor's have to know when it's time to say enough. The emmy judging panel was a lot different from before. Heather Tom won over Slezak for losing so many times previously. She was also voted by her peers.If that was the typical pre-2008 judging panel Slezak wins again.
